St. Zachary[edit]

That is an outrageous POV statement. The majority of the people in the world are not Catholic, and do not accept Zachary as a saint (which is a matter of belief, not of fact, as is unverifiable). Moreover, the Wikipedia policy is not to include a person's title or titles in the title of a page, or at the beginning of the Lead.

A wise decision! The Liber Pontificalis says that he was buried on the Ides of March (March 15). In those days burial took place on the same day as death, or the day immediately following. --Vicedomino (talk) 09:37, 5 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Weasel words[edit]

Attention must be given to the following vague and unsatisfying phrases:

"on intimate terms with Gregory III" Done - not in source cited.
"a wise and subtle diplomat" Done
"His tact in dealing with these princes in a variety of emergencies" (unspecified and unverifiable) Done
"A correspondence of considerable extent and of great interest" (nothing about what's in it; how extensive) Done
"In the effort to Christianize Rome," It is not clear how building a church only one block away from an existing church (Pantheon) and three blocks from a deaconry (S. Maria in Aquiro) would achieve that goal. Done

I know they are derived directly from (hagiographical) literature, rather than critical scholarship, but that does not excuse their vagueness.
