Is this legal argument still relevant under current US copyright law? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DGG (talkcontribs) 22:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

The intro to this article could be the intro to publishing. If you oppose the merger with publishing, please clarify what this article should be about, if not about publishing. Nurg (talk) 01:04, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article here is clearly not about "publishing" in general but about the meaning of the term "publication" in very specialized contexts. Merging this into the general article about publishing would be a mistake. Lupo 20:54, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, butthen we need a moredistinctive title.: "Publication in copyright law"? DGG (talk) 17:12, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Types of publication[edit]

I started a new section stub on "types of publication" to organize a bunch of material found in various Wikipedia pages, which does not at present have a central "station". My goal with this section is to list and organize the basic categories of material support of publications (book, pamphlet, journal etc.) as well as the categories of content of publications - which give rise to names that are sometimes confused with material descriptors but which are really content descriptors, such as "brochure" or "tract". - Wwallacee (talk) 11:23, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
