Year of birth[edit]

Do we have a reference with an explicit year of birth, so we can add "Cat:185x births"? The best I've seen so far is [1] which lists death date and age, but not year or birth, so we know it is 1852 or 1853, not necessarily 1853. Mitch Ames (talk) 13:52, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grant of Right of Burial for his grave is expired[edit]

I've removed "The Grant of Right of Burial for his grave is expired", because the expiry is probably wrong. The MCB says:

Grantee: NOT RECORDED – CHECK RECORDS

Expiry: 01/01/1753

It seems unlikely that the grant expired 100 years before he was born. 01/01/1753 is apparently the SQL epoch date, so probably this means that the grant data is missing, rather than the grant expired. Mitch Ames (talk) 04:05, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth[edit]

[2] says "Born in Flinders street" but [3] says "Dick was born in 1850 on the banks of the Yarra, near Flinders-street". Which should we believe? Any suggestions for wording to cover both?

Perhaps you dont know but prospectors and family lived in tents, fliners street crosses the yarra river it was normal way of life for families to come off the fields or preparing for the fields to living in tents on vacant land.
