Who keeps adding {{,}} after Bjarte Bø, and why? LarRan (talk) 10:18, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When listing in English, there is disagreement among linguists whether to use a comma before the last item, before the and:
  1. A, B, C and D
  2. A, B, C, and D
This template will show or not show the comma depending on some stylesheet setting individual to users. That's what I've figured amyway. I may be wrong. __meco (talk) 10:40, 9 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But it doesn't appear like a comma, it just looks like a piece of dirt on your screen. To be honest, I first just checked for just that. Obviously, the template doesn't work as it's supposed to. Maybe it's the template's creator that keeps adding it. LarRan (talk) 08:51, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, it was me, but if the template doesn't work like I have been assuming, obviously we do not need it. __meco (talk) 09:49, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I asked the creator, OwenBlacker, on his talkpage. Maybe that discussion should be moved to the template talkpage instead. LarRan (talk) 10:04, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article on the 1996 Everest disaster states that a female japanese climber Yasuko Namba also succeeded in climbing the seven summits, but perished on Everest, and in addition another female climber Junko Tabei achieved the same. In light of this is the statement that Cecilie Skog is "the only woman who has climbed the highest mountains of every continent (the Seven summits)" correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.24.231.139 (talk) 22:09, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
