Churches Issue

What about making the Parishes and Missions a separate aricle (such as with Archdiocese of New York )? Nice or in evil (talk) 22:25, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I think the important point to take away from List of churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York is the notable information included with each listing, e.g. date of establishment, which order ministers to the parish, its former mission status, etc. Just listing the address and whether or not it has a school does not make an entry notable or encyclopedic. I have found it useful to think to myself, "If I were to open a paper encyclopedia focused just on this topic, would this be there? If not, what would it take?"

So I would take the table above, add a section called "notes" or something, and add information from reliable sources that indicates the notability of each parish. That will be a lot of work, but well worth it. • Freechild'sup? 22:50, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

I contacted the Archdiocese of Omaha and according to them parish information can be found in the Official Catholic Directory published by P.J. Kenedy & Sons Nice or in evil (talk) 16:01, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
