Why is there no mention of SCA? It's WIDELY used. I have no idea of the standardization of it but it seems pretty darn standardized to me! [unsigned, 20-sep-2006]

huge 3-row SCSI[edit]

What is the name and type of the odd SCSI connector used in SGI Challenge servers? Typical IDE-like pins, but in 3 rows of seemingly 100 of more pins each. The devices were sled-mounted, although unlikely to be hot-swap. -- unsigned

um, not sure what you mean by "IDE-like pins"; do you mean header connectors, like one would find on a pc motherboard for parallel IDE, IRDA, floppy, etc? A quick web search implies that it was a custom interface (the combination of the connector and how it was wired up); I'm sure SGI had a name for it, but not one that anyone else would recognize. They almost certainly used an off-the-shelf connector for it, but I haven't found any photos good enough for me to see what it is. -- Akb4 22:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Really needs pictures with identity[edit]

I looked this article up so that I could identify the SCSI connector on some equipment I have. I can see a picture with my connector in it, but the caption says just "some connectors" without identifying which is which. Please someone make the necessary edit!
