Change the Page title[edit]

The Page Title should not be "Serving In Mission". It should simply be "SIM". Serving In Mission is a former trade name, but has never been the official name of the organization. Also Serving In Mission is no longer used by the Mission. Justified87 (talk) 03:50, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

New title needed[edit]

The mission has always been known as SIM. This originally stood for Soudan Interior Mission and has gone through various name changes since then: Sudan Interior Mission, SIM, Société Internationale Missionnaire (in French-speaking countries) and Serving in Mission. Now it appears they are dropping "Serving in Mission" and going back to the simple initials SIM, which do not stand for anything.

The title of this article should therefore be changed to "SIM", but this is already a disambiguation page. Should the title therefore be:

SIM (Evangelical mission)
SIM (formerly Sudan Interior Mission)

or

SIM (formerly Serving in Mission)

Ok. I note that dictionaries, such as wiktionary, use a lower case letter, but common usage is to use a capital. The Wikipedia article writes, 'Christian historian David Bebbington says, "Although 'evangelical', with a lower-case initial, is occasionally used to mean 'of the gospel', the term 'Evangelical', with a capital letter, is applied to any aspect of the movement beginning in the 1730s.' Name[edit]

Location[edit]

The article says, "The main headquarters is in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States." The international headquarters are actually in Fort Mill, SC, a bit outside of Charlotte, just across the NC/SC border.
