THE A13 4G DOES NOT HAVE CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS[edit]

I just bought the 4G A13 and it does not have contactless payments. The 5G A13 does have contactless payments. In this wiki page its expressing both A13's do have contactless payments which is extremely confusing when trying to buy new phones and research: please make edits immediately 115.64.166.71 (talk) 05:42, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're free to make edits yourself. Having said that, nowhere does this page say the A13 4G has contactless payment. I'll assume you're referring to it either having or not having a NFC. The A13 4G does have an NFC chip, though. It's features may be limited or blocked in some markets, but the NFC chip is there. --YannickFran (talk) 13:33, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Removing years for AxX series[edit]

Right now it no longer makes sense to write the year of membership next to it. I opt for two solutions: either write the two years of membership (for example for the Ax4 series, put 2022-2023) or remove the year directly since it does not represent all the devices in the series since they are released earlier. Some changes to the article's structure[edit]

In my - as of this writing - latest edit to the article, I've made a number of major changes and I'd like to explain why.

Most notably; I've removed the "Timeline" section, instead using its contents as a paragraph above each relevant table. Not only does this drastically reduce the structure of the article, it also removes the double headings between "Timeline" and "Phones". As a result, this also means Wikipedia now automatically expands the sections in the contents table, making this article easier to navigate.
These written texts used to have a list of all phones in the lineup of that generation, I've removed these. There were a number of reasons for this. First of all, with its new location next to its relevant table, listing them all up felt redundant. But also; these lists were mostly incomplete and the preceding written count was very often wrong (e.g.: saying there where eight models in a generation when the list after it listed 9 and the relevant table listed 12). These written counts remain, but they have been corrected to match the table.
I've removed the "Predecessor" section entirely. There is no reason to believe the "Samsung Anycall Galaxy A" shares anything with the Galaxy A series but a name. There is a 5 year gap between that phone and the original Galaxy Alpha and multiple restructurings of Samsung's phone lineup in those 5 years, including what the A series is today. There is no reason to believe that these were related.
I've dropped the word "series" from the headings under "Phone" since, strictly, they aren't a series but a generation, and the fact that these titles referred to a group of phones is clear from the context and preceding name. It helps declutter the contents table too.
I've added colors to the 2015, 2016 and 2017 lineup. Because they were missing. :)
