Material removed[edit]

The following deleted information could be added back to the article if there was a reliable source used for a citation. A reliable source does NOT include blogs, self-written biographies (for example, for a book), or similar. Primary sources should be avoided - if a newspaper or magazine hasn't thought the information important enough to be included in an article, then it's doubtful that it belongs in a Wikipedia article. (See WP:V.)

  • Emmy award
  • his initial campaign promise of serving no more than twelve years
  • trustee of the German Marshall Fund of the US
  • Author of the 2013 novel The Alliance (and a one-sentence summary of the novel, IF from a newspaper or magazine article)

That's about all I saw. "Relentless world travel" is absolutely unacceptable unless labeled that by at least two different news sources; things like being on an advisory committee of a university School of Journalism are clear violations of the policy that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collector of facts; and the rest of what I'm omitting (a list of all the places that he went as a Congressman, for example) similarly seems WP:NOT violations. -- John Broughton (♫♫) 00:54, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
