bloody decapitated pig photo[edit]

is it really necessary to have such a graphic and disturbing image at the top of an article about shrink wrap? at the very least, it's distracting from the topic. 157.131.109.46 (talk) 13:59, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Came here to say exactly this. Not necessary at all. 195.175.15.98 (talk) 07:11, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We need to remove the redirection and create a disambiguation page[edit]

We need to remove the redirection and create a disambiguation page. ShrinkWrap was a Mac OS disk image utility by Chad Magendanz. According to this TidBITS article he also worked on Microsoft's early range of multimedia titles such as Encarta, Cinemania and Music Central. Connectionfailure 23:49, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

merge[edit]

It has been suggested that shrink film be merged into shrink wrap. Yes, the "shrink film" article is not even worth bothering about. I will accomplish in a couple of days. Rlsheehan (talk) 21:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

External links to commercial products[edit]

I have no involvment with the shrink wrap industry, and I found the reverted external links helpful. For example, one link lead me to more detailed information about the manufacturing process.

I do have a problem with having both links in wikipedia, because they link to the same company, and I am wondering why we link to one company and not others. Otherwise, I think one link would be useful.

Wikipedia:Spam and WP:LINKSTOAVOID say not to use commercial links. Wikipedia is not a shopping guide. The good information in commercial sites can be included in the article but it should be referenced by journal articles, books, etc. Rlsheehan (talk) 18:40, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
