Archiving

Hi,

Though you're allowed to simply delete posts from your own talk page, archiving is generally preferred. There's a couple bots that can do it for you if you' want. Pasting the following at the top of your talk page should do it (not that it'll be invisible outside of the edit pane).

Citation

Have you had a chance to review WP:V, WP:CS, WP:RS, and WP:ATT yet? On wikipedia, since anyone can add anything, all content must be verifiable. We do that by citing reliable sources. You have added content to the Mary page that is not verifiable, so I have added "citation needed" tags. If you know where you got this information, please supply a citation. Unfortunately, we can't cite users' own personal knowledge, and we are pretty strict about this because we have to in order to make sure Wikipedia can be trusted for information in light of the fact that anyone can add anything to articles. Category:Plastics applications

Hi...I see that you have added the category:plastics applications to blow molding and vacuum forming. I don't think that it is the right category for those articles, as those are processes for forming and creating parts from plastic. I believe that cat is for articles that are about plastic products. Bottles in Water hammer

I removed this, as is it not really very helpful. Yes, a pressure wave is produced when you drop a bottle, but then what happens? it propogated upwards to the top of the bottle, and then..... As I wote in my change, you need a good number of pipe diameters for the wave to be of large magnitude. Also, the intorduction was probably the wrong place to put that section. Water hammer typically occurs due to the closing of a valve in a pipe, or some equivalent action. Sorry about being a bit propriotous about this article, but when I first got to it it was all wrong, so I try to keep it reasonably clean. Donebythesecondlaw (talk) 10:24, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Load Securing article - apology

Hi, I am the person who wrote the article on Load Securing, and unintended made some serious mistakes such as creating a commercial external link. I just went to the articles that I edited to remove the same links I added to some articles related to the topic of Load Securing. I saw you already took care of this. I want to sincerely apologize for making this mistake. I am totally new to the game and thought by not mentioning a company name, but stating it as a "supplier" giving people a choice to take a look or not, was okay. Your caption states this is steel strap, but from the image the strap look light in color. I'm not saying it can't be steel, but it sure doesn't look like steel, because all the steel strap I've seen has been black or brown. The only light colored straps I've seen are plastic. Packaging and labeling

I think you have a diferent idea about how assessment can be done: articles in different projects do not have to be assessed in a particular way, e.g. WP:Military History has stricter procedures than most projects. This is some information about making sure that B class is the right rating Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment/B-class FAQ but as a non-member of WP:Business I am not familiar with the way things are done there. Packaging machinery among other things

I see you a main contributor to the Packaging article. I'm a member of the packaging machinery industry and I think as a whole we have enough valuable content, and a growing number of educated contributors, to expand the Packaging Machinery section into an article. I know there are a lot of people in my community chomping at the bit to just start posting, deleting, and making a mess of this niche's content. Pharmacy automation

Could you please elaborate further on your claim that the article is an advertisment. It is a factual account of how portable digital pharmacy equipment evolved. Prior to 1967 only mechanical sorting equipment was used by manufacturers of pharmecutical products. The local community pharmacy could not suuport the investment needed for the equipment that was available in the past. It is not possible to remove associations with the inventors or any remaining companies withouf losing continuity. The development of the design has been accurately recorded with images of historical stages of development. The original article has been rewritten twice to minimise the emphasis on the companies.Francis E Williams (talk) 09:42, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

I realize the list is marginal but it *is* helpful and some of it *is* notable, that's why it's been there for such a long time - at least 5 years to my knowledge. Suddenly you ride out of the sunset like Genghis Kahn and delete the lot. Wouldn't some discussion have been fair first, with those of us who have worked hard to maintain this section? Please look at the history. On 25 July you tagged this for deletion. On 25 July I made corrective edits. On 2 Aug an administrator removed your tag with the comment "has rationale now". Energy crisis

I note that you decided upon yourself to remove about one third of the content from the energy crisis article, claiming that is was covered on the Mitigation of peak oil. However this is not true, many things you removed are not even mentioned on the mitigation article. If there was some duplication it didn't matter. Cargo net et cetera

Cargo net is too a container. As in "Heya there Tony, what ya got contained in that there cargo net?" and "Jim! Those sack is a'spilling all over. Contain them with that cargo net." See? Eh, who am I kidding? So, is there a navbox for it?

Also, I've been trying to add talk banners to net-related articles, like net. I'm stumped. Suggestions?

Industrial Robotics table of manufacturers

In industrial robot there was a table of manufacturers with national flags. Back in 2010 you removed this table as it had been growing out of control and became a battleground for listing every manufacturer with links to their sites. I disagreed with you at first but then agreed and the table was finally dead by Feb 2011. Now Andreas-B has put in a new table with a partial list of manufacturers. I just removed it. I noticed that you made a number of edits to Technical documentation over the years. It's such a wide genre that it's a shame the article is as threadbare as it is now. Vincent lifeboat engine

Thanks for rating this. Could you please expand though on why you see this (per the project scale) as "quite incomplete and, most notably, lacks adequate reliable sources." ? The others you rated at the same time (Starter (engine), Fluid coupling, Otto engine) are much bigger and more important topics, yet each has poor, near-incomprehensible articles with almost no narrative structure – and you rated all those as C class. Course plans

Just a couple of comments. In the UK, what used to be called Novice is now Grade 3 and that could be a novice course. In addition, maps like that, in the UK, are almost always only used by Judges to plan course and then by a judge and ring manager to lay out a course. Handlers don't see the maps. Image Removal

Hello, I saw that you removed the image Tychem coverall.jpg from the Tyvek page for duplicate purposes. The coveralls were made of Tychem, another product developed by Tyvek. Tychem is mentioned in the sixth bullet point under "Uses" and I thought the image could show the difference between Tychem coveralls and Tyvek coveralls.
