Previous links[edit]

@JimmyBlackwing: You're going to need this lot as well. After the article was deleted all of the redlinks were removed. The list below are the articles that used to link to this one.

You can see where in the prose they were removed from by checking Michig's contributions on 25 October between 08:33 and 10:26 - X201 (talk) 10:22, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks. Would it be possible to automate these instead of doing it manually? I don't know how to use any of Wikipedia's bot functions! JimmyBlackwing (talk) 15:07, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To a degree. Could run through them automatically linking Codie and/or Software and Information Industry Association and then see what's left unlinked. Let me know when and I'll do a test. - X201 (talk) 15:45, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Much appreciated—will do! JimmyBlackwing (talk) 17:11, 26 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@X201: The article has successfully been revived, and I recreated the Software Publishers Association and Codie award redirect pages. It should be ready for re-linking. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 17:05, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just FYI, there's a related discussion regarding relinking at User talk:Michig#Re:Codie award AfD
--Matthiaspaul (talk) 11:28, 28 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Done I've restored them as-is in many cases. There are over-links in there and inconsistencies with naming etc, but it's much easier to fix that when it's linked to the main article than if it's not linked at all. - X201 (talk) 08:54, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your effort. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 21:46, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Microsoft and the Business Software Alliance[edit]

I believe I remember when Microsoft decided to break with the SPA, they formed the BSA and by hook or by crook got the major Windows development houses to seek membership in the BSA and drop theirs in the SPA. The SPA (Don't copy that floppy) quickly lost relevance in the anti-piracy arena to the BSA (who were thought to be biased towards piracy of Microsoft products). 128.237.228.209 (talk) 01:31, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Need some assistance[edit]

Did an update to show the various awards since the SIIA serves many sectors of the industry. But the categories were removed as PR. Not sure how categories are PR, especially since these have been around since the late 80's. How do I adjust my edit to make it work properly. Sorry very new to trying to learn this.
