Sourced criticism[edit]

Please do not remove independently sourced information about the topic, even if you do not consider it flattering. --Bejnar 14:57, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deans[edit]

Current deans are listed under "Administration and faculty" not history. Please read the whole article before editing. --Bejnar 15:17, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Titles of presidents[edit]

Deleted the title "Pope" from Dr. Paige Patterson's name. 66.169.114.56 08:29, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted other titles before past-presidents, along with controversial and highly biased information about the "conservative takeover." Calling it "fundamentalist" and accusing the Seminary of having an "extreme-right-wing bias" are matters of opinion and not academically verifiable. 66.169.114.56 08:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should add, all things removed were not sourced. 66.169.114.56 08:37, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable alumni & faculty[edit]

Please do not add individual's names to the tables for alumni and faculty unless they are independently notable and a citation for their alumni or faculty status is provided. As is noted in the edit text of the article, a good rule of thumb for notability is that there is a Wikipedia article about them with proper references. If the individual is independently notable, but no Wikipedia article exists, please consider writing one before adding the individual here. Remember that citations should be verifiable and from reliable publications. --Bejnar (talk) 19:59, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I removed Paul David Washer from alumni list as non-notable. A citation to the webpage of the charity he founded indicated that he was in fact an alumnus, but a search produced no evidence of notability. See above a good rule of thumb for notability is that there is a Wikipedia article about them with proper references. --Bejnar (talk) 16:57, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited comparisons[edit]

Material in the article compared SWBTS to other schools. Despite requesting citation information for well over a year, none was provided. I have deleted this material pending proper citation to reliable sources.

  1. Southwestern Seminary is among the top five supplier programs of faculty members with doctoral degrees in theological education, after the University of Chicago, Harvard University, Yale Divinity School and Princeton Seminary.
  2. According to In Trust magazine, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary’s library system ranks third in book holdings among freestanding theological schools in North America. Only Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey and Union Theological Seminary in New York ranked higher.

Please do not readd it without proper citation to reliable sources. --Bejnar (talk) 06:07, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

School of Music - History[edit]

The current citation for the School of Music, [1], does not provide the information detailed in the article. I checked earlier archived versions (back to 25 Oct. 2015) and they also lack this information. Can someone find a source that does? --Bejnar (talk) 18:06, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a reason when that is the logo of the seminary?
