Untitled[edit]

Do you have any source that Mike Portnoy have stated that Space-Dye Vest isn't dream theater at all?

Here is the post where he said it: http://www.mikeportnoy.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1710693&mpage=1&key=&#1710796 Leeferdude 08:29, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the "plot"?[edit]

I think the "plot" part is someone's own interpretation, and a bit silly one... Are there any sources for it? Anyway, I found this: http://www.johnnymercer.com/FAQ/Space%20dye%20vest.htm --Piotr Mitas 17:53, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dream theater awake.jpg[edit]

Image:Dream theater awake.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Source on progressive metal?[edit]

No dispute that Dream Theater is a prog metal band, but this song in particular only has a brief passage which conforms to regular metal tropes, with guitars being barely present throughout the track and drums being even less prominent. As such, I do think we should get a source which specifically calls this song metal if we're gonna have it in the infobox. --181.115.61.86 (talk) 05:17, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right, genres always need to be sourced. I'm leaving that parameter empty until sources are provided. Victor Lopes Fala!C 17:07, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of samples[edit]

The article lists sources of samples included in the recording. It says, "The song is interspersed with samples from A Room with a View, The Fifth Estate, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Trouble With Evan, and...." "The Trouble With Evan" is the title of an episode of the show The Fifth Estate (source: https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/2662849760), so these should not be listed as if they are two separate sources of samples. Perhaps it could be listed as like this: "The song is interspersed with samples from A Room with a View, "The Trouble With Evan" (from The Fifth Estate), Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and...." 134.41.96.38 (talk) 20:17, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
