Text-merge?[edit]

  • There is also a page on this same topic at Solari departure board. It should probably be merged with this page. It's basically just a list of existing boards in the US and Britain anyway.
  • I can see some scope for moving content to a single article on the large display boards using split-flaps, but the displays also have a significant history (and for far longer) as clock displays. Andy Dingley (talk) 23:57, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This merge was completed three years ago; thought it worth noting here, and, so, y'all were right there. -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 18:25, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

incomplete list[edit]

If I'm not mistaken the list of transport boards (the bulk of this article, sadly) came over with the merge from the Solari Board article. So at that time it was just Solari boards, not boards of all types, and the list as such is just painfully short. If it were complete, it would be several times longer. Is it even necessary? -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 19:00, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request received to merge articles: Flight information display system into Split-flap display dated November 2015. Discuss here. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 06:29, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose These have only a coincidental overlap. One article is about display technology, one about a commercial application. Both are much wider than the other. Andy Dingley (talk) 10:58, 28 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose One definitely about airplanes, this article more train-y? -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 21:42, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Andy. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:04, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
