  • Oppose: It is common practice in the Anglican Church to name parish churches both after the Saint and after the place where the church is - e.g. http://www.achurchnearyou.com/york-st-michael-le-belfrey/. The fact that the church is in York is an essential part of its title, and no-one (unless actually in York) would refer to the church without the qualification 'York', even if it is the only one.
