Future of the church[edit]

This article states that the closure of the chirch is "unlikely to happen" due to local support. Sources of mine, very close to the church suggest that it is now almost definately going to happen, "When?" being a more pertinent question that "Whether?". However, firm sources for this are difficult to find. I will see what I can do and update ther article when I find some. Fork me (talk) 12:02, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

River[edit]

What does a subterranean river have to do with the church's possible/likely closure? Circeus (talk) 16:19, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm; good question. I hadn't noticed that bit when editing earlier today! Must be a longstanding uncited sentence. Carder (Encyclopaedia of Brighton) notes that the Wellesbourne has been culverted since 1828, so subsidence sounds improbable. I'll look around for sources, but will remove that sentence for the time being. Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 17:01, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
