A flaw in the description of the last episode.

re this "With the last of his allies gone, Jay tried aligning with Adam; they discussed targeting David, but Adam was secretly trying to lull Jay into not playing his hidden immunity idol."

This isn't really correct because in the hammock scene Adam clearly told Jay he had to play his idol. He was encouraging Jay to just play it. He revealed the story of what was going on with his mother as a kind of apology for telling Jay he was voting for him, and told him to play his idol. His reasons for revealing his mother's cancer may be my opinion, but a factual matter is he clearly said to Jay "you have to play your idol" so it's doubtful he was "secretly trying to lull Jay into not playing it". • @Trickmind: The line you quoted was about an earlier scene (Adam and Jay talking at night, after Will was voted out) where Adam says "he has a hidden immunity idol and we have to take every opportunity we have to take a stab at the guy. If he doesn't have immunity, he needs to go home." I understand how that could be unclear/misleading, so I changed it to something that better sets up Adam's later plans. - Katanin (talk)

Changing "Runners-up" in the "Contestants" table

Hey all, with tonight's result, I realized that the practice of putting "runners-up" in the column leads the title to be inaccurate whenever the sortability function is used; if we're using a sortable table, the content has to reflect that. CloudKade11 (talk · contribs) has reverted my attempts to change it to an individual title that is accurate no matter what configuration the table is (I used "co-runner up," but am amenable to another accurate title) and has suggested I start a discussion here. Thoughts? Any rationale for keeping "runners-up" beyond the fact that it's been used in the past? – Katanin (talk) 05:34, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

Can you clarify what is wrong with "runners-up" or the "runner-ups" titles? Also, what is the sortability function and how does it affect the titles? If you can be a little more specific it would be appreciated. There just has never been an issue with this until now and I don't understand what's changed. @CloudKade11: The sortability function allows for a table to be sorted different ways depending on which column at the top of the table is clicked. Based on how this function works, any multi-row box (e.g. "Vinaka") will become split up into individual boxes by row (e.g. at the start, there is one 13-row box that says "Vinaka" but, once any sortable box is clicked, it turns into 13 single-row boxes).

The term "runners-up" is plural. Using it in a sortable table means that, once that function is used, the two-row "Runners-up" box (which is accurate) will become two one-row boxes that say "Runners-up" (which is not accurate, as you wouldn't say that Ken was the runners-up, but that is what the table says once the sortability function is used). EDIT: Here's my official proposal (notice what I was referring to with the "Vinaka" column breaking up once you sort the table). I hope you can see how, no matter what you click in the top row, the text and information remains grammatically correct (which is not true of the current iteration). It also removes the need for footnotes to imply that the "co-runner up" was given that title because they tied with another losing finalist in the final vote (much like how we don't need footnotes for multiple losing finalists that receive different numbers of votes). season summary

The season summary reads: With only the four remaining, Adam finally convinced Hannah and Ken to eliminate David. I believe this has been disputed by Hannah and Ken on the show. (There's also a minor tone issue with "finally", which does not seem encyclopedic to me.) Perhaps this should state what happened rather than speculate into why it happened. I'd propose: "With only the four remaining, Hanna and Ken decided to join Adam to eliminate David." Or something along those lines. - Reidgreg (talk) 20:16, 31 December 2016 (UTC)

November 23 episode

According to the official website, no. There are two separate recaps for the two parts listed as episodes 10 and 11, and the following episodes are listed 12, 13 and 14 respectively. It's more likely two episodes aired back to back like in San Juan del Sur, Worlds Apart and Cambodia, there just happens to be a single title for the two episodes.
