Untitled[edit]

Someone had switched the band's picture with that of several random Somalian pirates. Removed the picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.178.160.230 (talk) 05:04, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, that's them. They dress up as modern pirates now and wear black face. Also, the bassist Pat Henry has lost about 250 pounds. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.163.212.230 (talk) 05:49, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Genre[edit]

To quote the starter of the same section on the Alestorm discussion page, "Please stop changing the band's genre to "Pirate Metal." This is not a canonical subgenre. The band play power/folk metal with a pirate theme. 88.83.119.67 (talk) 14:36, 5 February 2008 (UTC)". This holds true about tenfold for Swashbuckle, whose "pirate theme" is even less of a musical inspiration and more of a mere lyrical theme. For other reasons to leave out a "pirate metal" label regardless of any of a band's characteristics, refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Alestorm#Genre 108.27.75.33 (talk) 19:13, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
