Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because there are sources; coverage by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation for example. Take it to AfD for a proper discussion. --Mduvekot (talk) 15:49, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't go so far as to say that the existence of sources imply even "significance", if they are scant and narrowly focused enough. I've been in the paper a couple of times, and I'd A7 myself. That's my way of looking at it, anyway. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:07, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I just went back and did some more research. I did identify four articles, after all, that now I feel suffice to call for a referral to AFD, and I regret being so hasty, since I normally A7 articles not only based on their own content but also after conducting my own notability spot-check. I still feel the article itself didn't convey her significance, saying little more than "This person is a curator and an artist." But if the article were restored and fleshed out a bit, I'd leave it alone. —Largo Plazo (talk) 16:52, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
