Railway[edit]

Removed railway reference from the history section. The Thazi railway is not close to Taunggyi at all, and when Taunggyi was founded, the railway wasn't there.

Inhabitants[edit]

I'm not sure Taunggyi is the forth city of Burma. I think cities as Sagaing, Panthein and Pegu are bigger. --87.4.178.250 13:25, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Population in Pegu maybe larger than Taunggyi. But infrastructure , modernization taunggyi is more ahead than Sagaing, Panthein and Pegu, only behind Yangon and Mandalay.
