"Show"?[edit]

Presumably this is a television show. If so, or if not, the article needs to say. TheScotch (talk) 11:51, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. It is stated clearly that this show airs on VH1 Classic channel (with a link to that channel's article). A quick check of the Wiki articles for three major US TV talk shows (Today Show, Tonight Show, Late Show with David Letterman) indicates that it is not common practice to directly state that it is on television in the introduction. Eddie said in an interview that

Q. Do you feel like metal is also misunderstood?

A. God, yes. That’s been one of my biggest crusades since I started in this business. It’s two-tiered. I have always made a point of saying "hard rock" and "heavy metal." I think they’re two different things.

Q. How do you describe the difference between the two?

A. Hard rock for me is AC/DC, Def Leppard, Tesla, Kiss. Metal tends to be louder, ruder, darker, like Judas Priest, Slayer, Iron Maiden. The hard-rock world is just loud guitars. Lemmy considers Motorhead a loud rock ’n’ roll band. People look at him as this master of metal and he bristles at it. On the show, in every episode, you’ll hear us say, "Hard rock and heavy metal."

Q. I noticed that.

A. The other thing about metal, people say I don’t look or sound like a metal guy. They think I’m going to take offense and it’s quite the opposite. I hate the stereotyping that comes with this music. Mike Piazza is a friend because he was into my radio show. When he was on the Mets, he’d come out to Mercyful Fate shows. Doctors, lawyers, athletes, they’re all into this music, even if they don’t look like it.

is there a way to place it in the article after were it says the show is for hard rock and heavy metal?

List of That Metal Show Episodes[edit]

The list of episodes is starting to get very long, with a sixth season coming up. Perhaps a List of... page as done in other TV show articles might clean up the page and make room for other TMS material on the main page as TMS has found footing and may be with us for awhile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robtj966 (talkcontribs) 18:24, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Urchin[edit]

TMS shows relate to over produced bands in the seventies, such as, Boston, STYX, Foreigner, and others, in the way of working for promotioners, similar to those who ripped off Led Zeppelin in the seventies, from the hotel, which is in the movie, "Song Remains the Same". The Best of That Metal Show[edit]

I believe this episode was back in season 1, and it was just a clips show, but its not listed, and without it, ratt and ripper owens episode would be number 68, but according to the jani lane episode, that was the one origonaly in ratts place, that slot is supposed to be episode 69 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.253.194.65 (talk) 16:46, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
