Named after founder[edit]

This probably will not get read much (if at all), but the name was Samuel Brunt. Over time corruption has changed Brunt's (school, charity) into Brunts - without the possessive apostrophe.

Google sources have 1800's books (see what I did there? Possessive apostrophe...) with scanned pages - 1832 Gazeteer by William White and 1833/1835 Abstract from Parliamentary Papers.

Other sources showing it as Brunt's are Mansfield Museum (under Mansfield District Council) and Our Nottinghamshire, which claims to be a site contributed to by many local organisations including colleges, museums, councils and libraries.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 21:40, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
