TDF published an annual report for 2013 (in german) at: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/images/a/ab/TDF2013AnnualReportDE.pdf -- someone should update the history section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.59.170.121 (talk) 11:57, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article is hardly impartial and neutral and should be edited to meet Wikipedia standards.98.207.21.38 (talk) 18:13, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed it and can't quite see what your concerns are - can you point out some specific sentences that you think need fixing? - Ahunt (talk) 10:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

>"This is in contrast to OpenOffice.org, which requires developers assign copyright to Oracle."

I believe this situation has changed now that the project has been donated to Apache. --Gigitrix (talk) 03:56, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The last I heard Apache had not decided whether to accept it or not, but this should probably be changed from present to past tense. - Ahunt (talk) 11:39, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article is clearly not impartial and neutral. Especially in the "Reaction" section, quoting from opinion pieces full of childish name-calling and flame-throwing. It infers that the division was started by power grabs from Oracle/Sun, when it could just as easily be shown to have been started much earlier by jealous members of the Open Office leadership, specifically the members that split off to form The Document Foundation. These members were demanding that fellow Open Office leaders either quit their jobs at Oracle/Sun, or quit their position in Open Office, on the grounds that it is not possible for them to make impartial decisions about Open Office because their work was funded by a big business. When the Sun employees refused, the jealous group took a copy of Open Office and started their own game, funded by different big businesses. Coder Steve (talk) 02:18, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As per WP:RS we have to work from published reliable sources. The sources and quotes you removed were all properly sourced to reliable third party refs, which is why your deletion was reverted by another editor. If you have some new refs to cite that can add balance then these would be greatly appreciated. - Ahunt (talk) 13:29, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As per http://iloveubuntu.net/ubuntus-bjoern-michaelsen-became-director-board-document-foundation the Board changed in November 2013. 84.46.31.120 (talk) 10:10, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2014 TDF annual report[edit]

http://blog.documentfoundation.org/2015/06/03/read-about-the-document-foundation-achievements-in-2014-download-the-annual-report/ has the 2014 annual report lots of data, but also some diagrams and graphics that can be incorporated here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎84.46.49.194 (talk)

Category sorting: under D or T?[edit]

At the moment the defaultsort is under D, but TDF's actual legal German name includes "The" at the beginning (hence the common abbreviation "TDF"). Is there a Wikipedia convention on this sort of case as yet? - David Gerard (talk) 08:57, 8 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, it is still broken - leads to 404 in all instances.- Ahunt (talk) 22:14, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Key People[edit]

With the election of a new board, the list of "key people" in the info-box needs an update. Previously it was a list of the Foundation directors, but I think that missed the point of the "key people" element which ought to list the people with a long-term relevance to TDF. That probably includes a subset of the directors plus a subset of the founders, and maybe some others. I hesitate to just hack it and don't think duplicating the new Board is smart. Any ideas for criteria for a replacement list? ClareTheSharer (talk) 21:19, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
