Edith Borthwick[edit]

I've not been able to find any information about this lady beyond what's cited here and a passage in the obituary for her daughter Winifred Tumim (wife of Stephen Tumim) "The eldest of four children, Winifred grew up in Braintree, Essex, where her father Lt-Col Algernon Malcolm Borthwick was the chairman of the family meatimporting business. Her mother Edith had inherited the family home Wethersfield Place. When she was seven Winifred's second brother lived only a month and years later both her parents were killed in a freak car crash." The Express, "Reformer with courage to seek change", 14 Nov 2009, seen on Newsbank. If anyone has access to local newspapers I'm sure her death will have been covered in them - "County Councillor and husband die in freak accident"? PamD 15:47, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
