Other animations[edit]

The serial, animated by Firestep, is only the second, officially licensed, fully animated, Doctor Who serial, after the 2003 flash-animated, Scream of the Shalka.

What about Shada? And while it's not fully animated The Invasion should probably be mentioned. Also does anyone one have and references for the aborted Nelvana series? It might be worth mentioning here. --GracieLizzie 22:54, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding info on The Invasion, and I've found some references for the Nelvana series. But I still want to know about Shada and Real Time.[1] Doesn't their existence make this the fourth full animated Who Story? Also does anyone know who made Shada and Real Time? I think that the animation (such as it is) for Shada and Real Time was done in-house by the BBC website's Cult team. Lee Sullivan drew some pictures, and they animated them slightly, Jackanory-style. It wasn't really a full animation, just zooms and pans into, out of, and across still images. For real?[edit]

Barney simpsons wrote the following summary for episode 1: The Doctor and Martha lands on a hand made war ship built by Baltazar. but when Baltazar threatens to destroy the universe the Doctor disagrees and destroys the ship. Thinking Baltazar was dead The Doctor and Martha leave but then Baltazar escapes on his robot bird and threatens to get the Doctor... Is this for real? Because, honestly, it sounds completely and utterly ridiculous, and (only) partly because it seems to have nothing to do with the quest mentioned in the Synopsis section... Although the short episode was (in my opinion) very funny I can't really say it had must depth to it and the plot to be honest was weak, unfortunatly when reading instead of watching it, the jokes arn't going to get written down (and rightly so), so all you have to go on is the main story which is poor. The only thing I could really add to that would be maybe to add the fact it was a spoon that made ship 'disintegrate', and this will be mentioned. Number of episodes[edit]

Anonymous from 62.73.169.152 without comment has changed the number of episodes from 13 to 12, both here and on Totally Doctor Who. In the absence of any indication otherwise, I have changed it back to 13 episodes, as is clearly stated on the BBC website (reference #2, "Who's a Toon?"). --24.137.81.76 04:46, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Only 12 episodes were shown in Totally. The 13th episode was only shown as part of the omnibus on Saturday 30th June 2007 on BBC2 (immediately after the 24th episode of Totally, which included Infinite Quest episode 12!). Interestingly, a full title sequence was used (absent from Totally) between episodes 1 and 2. It was the same one from series 3 episodes 1-10, except with a cartoon Tardis. Table at bottom of page[edit]

There seems to be a problem with wikitables at the moment whereby images don't appear in them and it has pushed the table on this page to the bottom, whatever I do to try and stop it. It doesn't appear to be just this page. The problem is that it has orphaned the episode pictures meaning they are about to be deleted. Canonicity note[edit]

I don't really feel the standard boilerplate for DW Spinoffs regarding canon is appropriate here. This is a television production, made by the BBC as part of an officially sanctioned supporting program. That should indicate that it's canon; that and the presumption the serial didn't contain any glaring contradictions of the live-action show. However it doesn't share the same producers, which might be a point of issue. I've adjusted the note somewhat. This can't really be compared honestly with audios, novels, and the like, seeing as it was commissioned by the BBC and broadcast by the BBC and featured the same main cast. The only thing that sets it apart from the main series is it was animated. - As a further adjustment, it's incorrect to refer to this as a "spin-off" as that term is used to refer to non-televised material such as books and audios and webcasts, as well as the "writer-authorized" spinoffs that don't feature the Doctor. Kills all known bugs, dead[edit]

"In episode 6, Pilot Kelvin describes the final weapon to be deployed on Myarr using the phrase "kills all known bugs, dead." This is similar to the UK advertising slogan for the bleach Domestos."
