Some very old chat from KLF

3Am Eternal is (probably) a reference to the times they got into trouble for sampling ABBA, travelled to Sweden & ended up burning the masters for their track in the middle of the night. At least that's what I remember from an interview with them. -anon

I reverted to this version as it is far cleaner and contains most of the same information (as far as can be determined) as the latter versions. --Robert Merkel 09:56, 17 Aug 2003 (UTC)

POV

I want to take issue with a couple of statements.

  • 'Drummond would later lament about the decision not to release the single under the JAMs moniker.'
I don't think this is true, I have never heard of this and I would like to see proof. I think this is a Michael-ism.
  • 'Some people believe that the seriousness of the whole enterprise may be best indicated by Cauty and Drummond's appearance in one videoclip as leather-jacketed, sunglass-wearing rockers playing sitar.'
this is PoV and it doesn't even make sense - why would 'leather-jacketed, sunglass-wearing sitar players' indicate that the band members were not serious?

It's not PoV you can draw your own conclusions. Personally the contrast of stereotypical "rock" clothing with an acoustic indian 'folk' instrument makes me laugh. I mean, they're not even electric sitars. 82.35.56.181

Vanilla

Can anyone shed light on whether the atrocious girl-band "Vanilla" and their single "No Way No Way (Mna mna)" was a hoax perpetrated on the UK music industry by Bill Drummond?

I doubt it. Drummond has left the music industry. He's now an author and artist. He did launch the career of girl band Strawberry Switchblade on the world though but that was in 1985 - Drstuey 04:00, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)
While it is a natural human trait to attempt to find a reasonable explanation for strange phenomena, I'm afraid you'll just have to accept that the existence of "No Way No Way" simply defies all reason. Bonalaw 10:07, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Brtis awards performance

Um, i read somewhere that those were not blanks...

I also read that some of the audience pissed on themselves...

does it all matter? Believe what you read. Elvis is in the north pole.

Reply/further comment: I saw it on TV. A great shown. They were definetely blank, and one of them performed with a strap-on dildo on the forehead. Talk about a provocation!

L

my shiny nickel.

For some reason, I just have to believe some of this was tongue in cheek and probably drug fueled. I mean the point of the exercize was to mock convention as controlled by the 'illuminati' and cause chaos. You can't take yourself too serious and bring proper mayhem and chaos.
