Portrait[edit]

It would be greatly appreciated if someone could find a copyright-free portrait of him--there must be at least one--and upload it to Wikimedia Commons/the article. For example, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. has portraits of prominent Confederates.Zigzig20s (talk) 06:04, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Presbyterian?[edit]

I am trying to find out if he was Presbyterian, and if we can find the names and sermons of the ministers who served on his plantation. Gay Hill was started as a Presbyterian community. Moreover, most Scottish immigrants were Presbyterian. Please let me know if you are able to find out more about this!Zigzig20s (talk) 06:06, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

he cultivated the commodity crops of cotton and sugar cane with slave labor

So did most planters. What is the notability of 'slave labor'? Is this just a 'Hiss-the-villain' mention? I think we should be told. Valetude (talk) 13:18, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
