Nice start, refs are good. Lists are not encouraged. More pics/text? Victuallers 12:05, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The controversies section should not be removed.

If anybody would like to write some of the sections on the page, feel free to.

---

Yes it should. It does nothing but paint a negative light on the entire school and its alumni because of the actions of a few idiot children. It's not significant to the school's history either, as most of the currently enrolled students of Turpin or Walnut probably don't know about the incident. Anyone who feels the segment belongs should examine if that is because of a personal agenda. Unfortunately, wikipedia isn't a blog.

---

Nobody is suggesting that Wikipedia is a blog. The information published is factual and includes citations. The incidents, while embarassing to the school, are part of the school's history.

---

I agree, the controversies section should not be removed, it is history. Way to argue censorship with a lame excuse. ("It's not significant to the school's history either, as most of the currently enrolled students of Turpin or Walnut probably don't know about the incident.") You should probably move your argument over to the Abe Lincoln talk page, in reference to the suspending civil liberties. Why not rewrite history the way you want to sugarcoat it? Might be why most of the world dispises the United States, we like to forget the bad things we have done, and smudge our history books so we look good on paper.

In fact, If someone wants more in the controversies section, find some cites and here you go...

During the late 1980's, Forest Hills student drug usage skyrocketed prompting the Forest Hills School District to hire David Toma, an anti-drug speaker to speak at the local high schools in order to deal with the crisis. Due to the drug problem remaining high the following year, the School Board requested he return for a second speaking engagement. At the time, It was rare for David Toma to visit the same school twice.

---

Bwahhhaaaa, nice history section. If that's what makes you happy, go for it. At least you have your cites.

---

Is the extracurricular activites section meaningful to Wikipedia? Some of the subsections in that section, such as the state championships and other extracurricular activites subsections don't seem meaningful.
