BLP violations[edit]

The paragraph on family contained some material, which was reliably sourced, however, none of the references mentioned Tyreek Burwell, and there have been no sources presented showing that Asha Burnell is his sister. Hence, this is a BLP violation and has been removed.--Ymblanter (talk) 17:13, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Even if a source can be found confirming that she is his sister, I consider it completely inappropriate to go into such extensive detail about a relative getting into a fight and receiving probation. It is undue weight. Cullen³²⁸ Let's discuss it 17:28, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copying my comment from Cullen's talk page, "It is his sister, but the extend of his involvement per sources is one tweet." Obviously way way too undue, and very problematic since it relates to crimes and is on a BLP. Galobtter (pingó mió) 17:31, 9 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question regarding this: I found an article from the Albany Times Union here: https://www.timesunion.com/tuplus-local/article/Witness-threatened-after-UAlbany-bus-incident-was-6861347.php. Does that help as a source for the tweet? I'm in total agreement that it shouldn't be added back without reliable sources. That being said, I am local to where the bus incident happened, and to the best of my knowledge his only involvement was that misguided tweet. Kjscotte34 (talk) 18:17, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Without sources in the article confirming the tweet and his relationship to the woman, it was a BLP violation to include this material, as User:Ymblanter stated, and why I stated that it should never have been restored as was.. It appears that he simply made an inappropriate tweet (since removed) after being taken in by his sister's bullshit. Even with sources I agree that it is WP:UNDUE to include all this material. Agreed. If we avoid giving this incident undue weight or turning it into a WP:COATRACK for his sister, all we would say is something like, 'He once sent an angry tweet after hearing his sister was assaulted.'
