Edit[edit]

I edited the article to make it more neutral (and corrected a few typos). To start at the end, there's no place in an encyclopedia for editorial comment on the trustworthiness or otherwise of references - if they're not trustworthy, don't cite them at all. IMO Kin Oung is trustworthy enough to stay in. The other edits are simply aimed at removing contentious material - the whole subject of Aung San's assassination is a happy hunting ground for conspiracy theorists, and in these circumstances it's best to say as little as possible. Nonetheles, I don't think there's any doubt of U Saw's guilt - he never denied it. PiCo 07:24, 4 January 2006 (UTC) Bold text[reply]

British officers involved in the assassination[edit]

This article says that low-ranking officers were involved and describes how one officer provided arms. The Aung San article refers to middle-ranking officers being "involved" in the plot - which implies more than just providing guns. -- Beardo (talk) 15:29, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why did he do it?[edit]

Why? There's a case that he did it because Aung San promised too much to Shans and Karens (Independence etc.) and U Saw thought the only way to prevent a breakup of Burma was to assassinate Aung San. How much credit does that argument have? 2100s (talk) 01:47, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
