Dane's sound.[edit]

He is often noted on his sound, usually noted as wicked and chaotic. I do not see how it is an opiniated statement, to me it us summed from pure speculation. -Exsequor

Presenting opinion is not an issue in an extensive article that places the opinions in the proper context. Unfortuneately this artile is far too short and too incomplete to include such information. It needs work in areas such as biography, career, etc. Once this is done adding some subjective interpretations of Dane's sound would be appropriate. -mberning

I have attempted to search for any history on Dane as a musician, however no source I have found mentions him in nothing more than Sanctuary's or Nevermore's history as a vocalist. -exsequor

Warrel Dane's birth year?[edit]

What the hell year was this guy born, every time I come to his page, it's a different year. I've seen 1959, 1961, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1969, and 1971. I doubt it's 1959 or 1971, because those seem a bit too old/young.

I think 1961 is more accurate. If Warrel was born in 1969, he would have been at least 16 years old when he formed Sanctuary in 1985. Jim Sheppard was also born in 1961. I have just posted on Warrel's facebook page and I have received a response from a fan and after looking in a few other articles that 1969 is in fact actually his birth year, 1961 is a fault cos he doesn't seem to be that old, he probably was 16 when Sanctuary was formed because Trivium's Matt Heafy was only 14 when that band was formed. so there 1969 is Warrel's actual birth year.

Sorry to tell you that you are wrong Zak Hammat, Warrel Dane's birth year is 1961, making him 53 years old. I happened to work for a promoter in Germany in 2006-2007 when Nevermore came over to play and had to make copies of all USA band passports and visa information. Being a big fan of Warrel Dane and Nevermore I of course looked at all ages and remember being surprised at his age. I believe Jim was about the same age from what I remember. Jeff was the youngest though and I can't remember Van's at the moment but remember he was in the middle age wise. Warrel for a fact was 61 because I couldn't believe he was so much older than he looked! Further more he was not 14 in Serpent's Knight or 16 in Sanctuary. So Johnny Stoked, where did you find the ages? I've seen him recent interviews and he still doesn't look 53 and only 45 to me, Dave Mustaine was born in 1961 and he looks right for his age compared to Warrel, I just Googled Warrel Dane birthday and seen more stating that he was born in 1969, yes Jeff is the youngest being born in 1971 and I just found out Van Williams was born in 1966.
