Title[edit]

"Warsaw Uprising Airlift" produces no hits on Google books. "Warsaw airlift" gives about a 100; hence I am moving this article to Warsaw airlift (note: no need to capitalize words unnecessarily, and quick glance at sources shows airlift is not capitalized in this context). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 17:07, 2 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

B-class[edit]

Confirming for WP:POLAND per milhist review. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk to me 16:00, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Order of Warsaw[edit]

Worth a mention in the article is that surviving members of the air crew who took part in the Warsaw airlift were recently honoured again at a ceremony held at London's Polish Embassy. This article describes the honour they received as the Order of Warsaw, but I'm struggling to find any other references to it, so wonder if the article has named it correctly. Any thoughts? Alignment of Soviet Forces[edit]

The Soviets probably shouldn't be in the same column as the Western Allies, considering their active efforts to hamper the operation, save for a couple cursory drops. Especially since they specifically did not want the Warsaw Uprising to succeed, and halted ground operations to ensure it. Maabonnet (talk) 00:12, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
