A source of information on the school's history[edit]

Blackcountryhistory.org has a page detailing the school's history, which might be a useful reference source for information on the school's history as Willenhall Comprehensive School and Willenhall School Sports College. The page contains details such as founding dates, previous headmasters, and the date it moved to the current Furzebank Way premises. (However, I feel sure the transition to Sports College status happened earlier than the 2003 date given at the bottom of the article!) --86.167.7.250 (talk) 07:54, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Willenhall School Sports College be merged into Willenhall E-ACT Academy. I think that the content in the Willenhall School Sports College article can easily be explained in the context of Willenhall E-ACT Academy, and the Willenhall E-ACT Academy article is of a reasonable size that the merging of Willenhall School Sports College will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. CarlDurose (talk) 08:13, 27 June 2017 (UTC) I agree. Tacyarg (talk) 09:49, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I am also on board with this idea. The vast majority of articles about academy schools in England have their entire history, which includes pre-academy details and events, in one page under the school's current name. It reduces a lot of clutter, and it's reasonable to merge in this case given the length of both articles. Entranced98 (talk) 11:00, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
