You edits (among other things) got hidden by your html tags. I removed them entirely. Proposals were due Oct 18, 2006. Do you have any more recent references? ccwaters 19:36, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Request Section on 1978 Roof Collapse[edit]

The 1978 Hartford Civic Center roof collaspe was a significant event in the history of the complex and also a significant event in structual engineering history. It should be covered here. Can someone put together a section on this event? See the articles on Hyatt Regency walkway collapse and on Kemper Arena for examples of how this structual failure could be covered. The two sentences covering the collapse in the current article could certainly be expanded. If you feel like doing so, be bold and go ahead and do it! —Elipongo (Talk|contribs) 03:09, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think there should be a section on it too. But I don't know enough about the event to supply details. 128.158.145.51 17:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There should definately be a section on the Roof Collapse - it was a huge historical event for central CT. The Whalers actually made it into the NHL because they were able to enlarge the facility upwards and meet NHL min. requirements. They had to relocate to Springfield for a number of years and spawned a loyalty club (many cars had their bumper stickers in that era) that exists today. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.58.11.38 (talk) 01:52, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I own two photographs taken from an office right after the collapse of the Civic Center. Are these something I should upload and if so how? Also, the last paragraph about building a new arena and bringing the NHL back should be updated. Mayor Perez is no longer the Mayor, and is actually in jail. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redsoxfan860 (talkcontribs) 01:31, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Image:HartCivCentlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:47, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
