Coordinate with Zubilin article[edit]

The Elizabeth Zubilin article indictes the two were actually married and had a long term relationship. No mention of her being "sent to seduce" him. Which version is correct? --KNHaw 01:24, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orlov (Secret History) says that Yagoda ordered Zubilin to seduce Blumkin in Moscow. Andrew (Mitrokhin Archive) says that Trilisser, Yagoda's deputy, arranged an early version of what was known as the "honey pot," and had her sent to Turkey for the seduction. Both authors agree she was encouraged to "abandon bourgeois predjudices" and seduce Blumkin. Neither speaks of a marriage. The Zubilin article needs a re-write...

But then again, Sudoplatov in his recent memoir, tells a different story. So waddaya gonna do?

В книге Олега Шишкина "Битва за Гималаи" утверждается, что Блюмкин под видом буддийского монаха поехал в Тибет, где сопровождал экспедицию Н. Рериха в княжество Ладакх в Тибете под видом паломника и ламы. Лишь в конце экспедиции «лама» вдруг заговорил по-русски.

Однако, документы из секретных архивов разведки опровергают как факт пребывания Блюмкина в экспедиции Н.К.Рериха, так и утверждение О.Шишкина о связи Н.К.Рериха с ОГПУ. Руководитель пресс-бюро Службы внешней разведки России Ю.Кабаладзе неоднократно в своих выступлениях в СМИ утверждал:

"По сведениям службы внешней разведки и по документам Блюмкин не был в экспедиции Рериха. Автор путает даты и экспедиции."

Myth about participation YA.BLYUMKINA in Central-Asiatic expedition N.K.RERIH S[edit]

In book Olega SHishkina "Battle for Himalayas" becomes firmly established that Blyumkin under type буддийского monk has gone to Tibet, where accompanied the expedition N. Reriha in principality Ladakh in Tibete under type of the pilgrim and lamas. Only at the end to expeditions lama has suddenly spoken in russian.

However, the documents from secret archive of the exploring refuse both fact of stay Blyumkina in expeditions N.K.RERIHS, and statement O.SHISHKINA about relationship N.K.RERIH with OGPU. The Leader press-agency of the Service of the external exploring to Russia YU.KABALADZE repeatedly in their own appearances in SMI confirmed:

"On information of the service of the external exploring and on the document 
 Blyumkin was not in expeditions Rerih. The Author muddles the date and expeditions."

Unfixable sentence[edit]

The sentence "In 1924, the OGPU made Blumkin an illegal resident in the Arab peninsula." is at odds with every statement that follows. In addition the link to "illegal immigration" is a red herring and the reference to "Arab peninsula" is poor diction. I removed it rather than trying to patch up these problems.Zeno Cosini~enwiki (talk) 07:47, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
