Fair use rationale for Image:YJCcrest.gif[edit]

Image:YJCcrest.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger discussion[edit]

To merge the former schools into the combined entity; overlap, context, short text. Klbrain (talk) 10:11, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This article, originally as "Yishun Junior College" (founded 1986), was changed to its current name on 6 April 2019, starting the journey to the expected merged-article that would include the story and history of Yishun Junior College and Innova Junior College (founded 2005). Looks like this merger of the articles was halted because Innova Junior College had not reached its closed day. That day is long past, time for a single Yishun Innova Junior College article to absorb the Innova Junior College article, which still exists two years after the merger of the actual colleges was complete and the standalone Innova ceased to exist. • Support merge. Schools have been combined, rationale makes sense. ~ KN2731 {talk · contribs} 01:59, 31 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yishun and Innova Junior Colleges were separate colleges before they merged, and have different school cultures and heritage. The new Yishun Innova Junior College has a combination of the elements from both of the colleges and a merged page showing the culture and heritage of previously 2 separate colleges would be confusing and not a proper representation of the merged Yishun Innova Junior College. • Support. Schools do not have separate enough subject matter that they warrant two separate articles. Dawkin Verbier (talk) 04:01, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
