So am I wrong then to say that chinese invasion was CRIMINAL? Answer me this? And this whole article was biased! It should at least be: "Damaskii/Zhenbao Island" or something like that.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.87.7.43 (talkcontribs).

English Grammar and Style[edit]

1. My dear Russian and Chinese friends, I have taken the liberty of correcting the English language in this article as to grammar, style and usage.

2. As a general rule of style in English, when using a number smaller than 10, it should be spelled out, i.e., 7 is spelled out as 'seven'. Also, when first introducing an Acronym, spell it out at first usage, then you can use the abbreviation thereafter, i.e. 'Wounded in Action' (WIA), then use WIA thereafter. Also there was a switch from 'Soviet' to 'Russian' several times. If we are talking about the Soviet Union in 1969, we should use Soviet and not Russian. Russia and the Soviet Union were two distinct political entities. Secondly if we are going to use PRC it can be confusing to jump around and use 'China', 'Chinese' when we can use PRC, although most international readers in English are more likely to recognize China, Chinese than 'PRC'.

3. There is a discussion of 'forces' but is it Chinese/Soviet Army? Marines? The article requires many citations as it contains many assertions that must be referenced to existing books, papers, etc. That should solve your NPOV concerns although maybe it might be best to have someone from a neutral country edit this article.
