Pre-1901 flag[edit]

Is there a reason why this doesn't have the pre-1901 flag? mcornelius (talk) 10:15, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 2 January 2021[edit]

Can we add an option to display File:Flag of New York (1901–2020).svg when including the year "1901" in the template text like this: {{flag|New York|1901}}. Currently, this text displays the flag adopted in 2020, and my suggestion would be consistent with other country data pages allowing previously used flags to be displayed when a certain year is input. There are multiple pages that anachronistically display the flag adopted in 2020, instead of the 1901 version that is appropriate to the time period.
