Is this practicable?[edit]

There are literally tons of languages that are written... I'm not sure if this is practicable even if we only included ones that are alive and spoken by a large group of people and that have dedicated articles, especially given many groups of languages share the same writing systems. Sections[edit]

The template now has sections; genealogical where possible & geographical otherwise. My sandbox has a copy of this template, and it can contain modifications of it, like further branching. I don't think it's necessary in the main template, at least at this stage, but maybe someone is interested & has a different opinion on that.
