It has been hinted that his obsession with the perfectionist attitude of icons such as John Fashanu may have had something to do with the development from pathetic weakling into swashbuckling hero of the people, but the impact of reading stories of great warriors such as King Leonidas and Alex DeLarge cannot be underestimated.
