Slayer

Sure, i'm willing to get more Slayer FA's. I still have to order a copy though. Looks like that book voucher i won will come in handy. I'm guessing i'll get it in a week or two. Cya around, hope you're doing well :) M3tal H3ad (talk) 13:53, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

I see what you mean with the 'problem articles'; Live Undead and Decade of Aggression come to mind. It would be cool to get all the album articles to a respectable status, especially Seasons (my favorite). Anyway, i look forward to working with you in the future to "re-ignite" the Slayer flame. I've almost finished my studies and there's still four weeks left of the term (then two weeks holiday) so I'll have quite a bit of free time. M3tal H3ad (talk) 14:34, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Saviours

Hi! I saw your edit on the talk page of Saviours. Your edits on Slayer related articles are impressive. If you have a moment, could you please help in making Saviours a better article? Thanks. ^_^ dposse (talk) 02:36, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

In All Languages (Godflesh album) a stub ?

According to the WikiProject Albums quality scale, the article for In All Languages is start-class at least. Gothbag (talk) 17:17, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Regarding Metallica

Thank you for responding with such thoroughness and civility. Pardon my use of the term "fanboy." It was not meant as a personal attack, and was probably the incorrect term to use. I was not aware of your contributions (as I should have been) and mistook you for a passerby on a publicizing mission. Clearly that is not the case. My apologies. I do not dispute the notability of Evile. What I do dispute is the relevance of including such statements in those Metallica album articles, since they are not reviews from professional critics, and usually represent a largely one-sided point of view. The same holds true of such statements from any band or frontman, notable or otherwise--including that found on South of Heaven. The fact that Evile is notable does not by extension make their opinion notable. 71.101.234.25 (talk) 03:27, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Janet Jackson

Hello, I'm currently working on Janet Jackson, Control (Janet Jackson album), Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet.. I'm working to get them all to GA as well as FA (in addition to all articles relating to WP:JANET) and I could always use music-savvy editors to help improve the quality of the prose and overall content. If any aspect of the Janet Project peaks your interest, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 12:27, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Control (Janet Jackson album) is currently listed for peer review. So If you'd like you can focus your attention there. I know I should focus on one article at a time, but my brain just doesn't work that way. The second I find a good source of information I implement it ASAP. But as I said, Control is a primary concern right now, so you may peer review it if you like. Thanks! The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 04:13, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 and janet. have both passed GA. I currently have Janet jackson in peer review - Wikipedia:Peer review/Janet Jackson/archive1 - to prepare for FAC. Would you mind giving the article a detailed review according to the Featured Article Criteria? Thankyou. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 04:38, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
If you have more examples please point them out. Keep in mind I've been working on this article for over a year, so anything which may be obvious to you are oblivious to me. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 01:01, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to say thankyou for contributing to the review. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 11:19, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
How close do you believe the article is to FA at the moment? The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 04:09, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

The article is at FAC. Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Janet Jackson. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 09:17, 15 August 2008 (UTC) Thankyou! :) The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 06:40, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Thriller FA review

The issue's you noticed with the Thriller article have been resolved by another editor, feel free to return to the review when your available. Thank you. — Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 04:48, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Vol. 3 FA review

I have addressed your comments for Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses). Feel free to leave anymore concerns. Thank you! Blackngold29 01:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

I accredited everything for you. The reviews in the intro should have been accredited from the start, they were added recently, I shouldn't have missed them. Blackngold29 20:48, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi, please revisit the FAC and let us know if we have resolved your comments or not. Thanks! Gary King (talk) 17:30, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I think I got it this time! I was only doing the ones that you mentioned specifically, for some reason I didn't realize that you wanted everything attributed. Thanks! Blackngold29 19:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Note

I'll expand the pages I'm adding the AMG links to; I am just quick adding the links as a stopgap, since you're working very fast, so fast that you're knocking out groups that actually meet WP:MUSIC. Chubbles (talk) 13:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I am always and everywhere working under the assumption that we should be considering the inherent notability of the subject rather than the present state of the article when determining whether an article should exist; I'll be using this benchmark as I go through what you send to the trash bin. Chubbles (talk) 13:33, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I know, which is perhaps what worries me most. The biggest barriers to the expansion of Wikipedia's coverage of metal are its most active editors. What I am concerned with here, and I think you understand this, is that some of the articles concern groups which actually meet WP:MUSIC even though the article doesn't explicitly make this case (mostly because most people who actually use the site and write the articles never read our guidelines). An AMG bio - particularly in metal - is a good benchmark, and I'll usually go to the mat for any group who has one. In any case, you picked a bad week for me to work on Wiki, but I'll get to these today as I can. Chubbles (talk) 13:48, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

As Chubbles stated above, you are working very fast. I'm surprised to find the articles for Eluveitie and Arallu deleted in such haste. The former is one of the more well-known folk metal band and has probably received more coverage than any other bands from the genre outside Finland. The other might be more obscure but has received coverage in books. I do not have a problem with your attempt to clear out all the non-notable acts from wikipedia but can you do the rest of us a favor and use PRODs instead of CSDs so that we can have time to look at the articles and see whether the subject is notable enough to be on wikipedia? --Bardin (talk) 10:43, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Now, I don't mean to complain but I've just noticed that you PROD Tysyachelistnik when they have no albums out and yet you CSD bands that have released multiple albums. Don't you think it would be better to switch that around and CSD bands with no albums and PROD those that have? --Bardin (talk) 10:56, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
I've responded to your comments at my talk page. --Bardin (talk) 12:37, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Dimmu Borgir

Would you be willing to help me turn Dimmu Borgir into FA class? It would take some work, but I have some quotations by them via magazines (like Revolver. Has an interview with Shagrath, Danni Filth, and Nergal) My uncle's funeral is today, but I think that I will be able to start on it saturday. If you would help me, that would be greatly appreciated. Undeath (talk) 15:02, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't need any kind words, he's at peace now and that's all that matters to me. In your opinion, would the black metal article be an easier FA candidate? The finnish? version is a FA class, and I can read most of it, but not all of it. I think that if we model ours off of that one, we could have a decent FA. Undeath (talk) 01:29, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Demo 98/99 and Fhtagn nagh Yog-Sothoth

I'm curious, how come those two demos are currently tagged for deletion? What's missing? I definitely do not want these to be deleted. You have any advice to save theese articles? Thanks. BTC 00:41, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I think that helps. I'm going to work on those pages. Thanks for the info. BTC 00:13, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Your comments on my talkpage

I have three things to say. Firstly: WP:CIVILITY. Read that and then start posting on peoples pages. If your write journalistically, you should then know how it is people like to be spoken to or not, in order to gauge an ameliorated response. The way you did on my talk page doesn't represent one iota of good faith. Secondly, since I posted that, I've become more familiar with RD and a friend of mine along with me wrote an apparition, completely unsubstantiated and e-mailed it in. It was published, howeer removed later due to the fact that it was false, but it stayed up for abouot a week or two, which is pretty long in the scheme of how things work in this world these days. And thirdly, I wasn't being sarcastic. I was being facetious. I know you do check your facts, generally, however the only sarcasm I was including in that staement was the fact that people are able to err. It's natural. I don't appreciate being called a dumbfuck, so please don't do that again. WP:AGF - that's another page you should read too. Not everybody's here to do the wrong thing by an editor, they're often trying to do the right thing by the article, and occasionally in their lack of tact, the article comes before the co-editors and their collaborators get left as casualties in the gutter. It's my intention to always do the right thing by both, but I would also ask you do the same. --rm 'w avu 05:22, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

RE:Prod

I only reverted the ones on the articles that I created. Also, part of PROD is giving notification to the author of the article. Anyway, I only did it until a consensus is reached on WP:MUSIC. I feel that if the band is notable, the demo album is notable too. At least in the metal scene, the demo album is released to the public. In other genres, however, the demo is not released. This caused some confusion among the wiki community, but it may straighten out soon. Undeath (talk) 14:01, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

I oppose it for now. The PROD takes 5 days to run out, and some deletion happpy admin might come by and take care of it before anything is done. If, the consensus is that demos are non notable, we can go round up everyone of them and bring them to AfD. I don't know yet though. Undeath (talk) 14:08, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Changer

I wish I could oppose you, but I don't think I can; the group seems to be big but there's not much in English and I don't speak Icelandic. (Which raises another issue - we are pinging a lot of non-US bands here which are much bigger than US bands which are easy to source. WP:BIAS applies, and this "house cleaning" unfortunately exacerbates the problem). Happy trails, I guess. I wish I weren't the only one who noticed. Chubbles (talk) 19:56, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Black Funeral

I am starting a new article that could easily be introduced as a good article. I need some help though and would appreciate if you would help me a bit on it. The article can be found here. Thanks for your time and help. Undeath (talk) 21:06, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

There is no way it can be deleted/will be deleted. For one, they have released 3 or 4 cd's on Season of Mist. Undeath (talk) 23:29, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: Metallica

Hi, I'm the guy who deleted all the Matt Drake quotes from Metallica articles. You have his opinion of Better Than You listed under Critical Reception. Since when is he a critic? He's some metal head that loves old school Metallica. On all but one of those pages (Load) he was the only person with a quote. My thinking was "Wait, why does this guy from some fledgling band get to have his personal view of Metallica up on every page?" So I deleted them. I honestly suspected that he or someone closely related to Evile added them because while they may be verifiable, they're nothing more than biased personal opinions. I could dig up some Kerry King quotes about how the lyrics to Fuel suck from my Guitar World collection but I fail to see how that would add anything to the Fuel page. Or MoP quotes from the Jan 06 issue.

I understand that you'll probably disagree with all of this and report me. That's fine. You're the one with the clout around here. I was just doing what I felt was best for the articles.
