About Mountaincirque[edit]

I have always been intrigued by interesting facts and their veracity. Becoming a Wikipedia editor was a logical result and I have been pottering about here since late 2006.

I mostly focus on basic edits to grammar, adding references, and removing vandalism; I like to create pages on a range of topics including upcoming music artists, martial arts, footballers and novels. I support a gender-balanced encyclopedia and have created pages for a number of female actors, novelists, and music artists including Hollie McNish, Laura Purcell, Alison O'Donnell (actor), Nell Tiger Free, NAO and Låpsley. I founded the Karate task force here and I am also a moderator at r/karate on Reddit, the biggest online community of karate practitioners.

Current curations & to do:[edit]

  • Benjamin (Thylacine) - this little chap has a lot of coverage and an article on him might be justified
  • Aston Villa - four founding fathers, deserve Wikipedia articles or at least expansion of current history sections and addition to the list of players: [William B Mason, who they went to watch play rugby, inspiring the club's formation], Jack Hughes, William H Price, George Matthews and William H Scattergood. [1]
  • Henry Osmaston - cannot believe he doesn't have a page!
  • Aston Villa Women F.C. notable players and centre of excellence need highlighting further
  • WP: Karate Task Force
  • Sheriff of London Charity Shield, significant re-referencing and expansion, needs yearly pages expanding out
  • Roskilde Festival (planned)-->
  • Aston Villa Under-21s and Academy - need some re-works of the historical text to better represent youth players in the mid-late 20th century as well as adding in notable graduates from pre-1990s
  • Karate kata, the whole ecosystem of kata is very messy and needs expert attention
