Moulis-en-Médoc, or simply Moulis, is an AOC for wine made in the commune of Moulis in the Bordeaux wine region of southwestern France, on the Left Bank of Dordogne. Vineyards are located xx kilometers to the northwest of Bordeaux, just west of Margaux AOC. The area covers 600 hectares, annually producing on average 34,750 hectolitres of wine.

Wine[edit]

The grape varieties of Moulis-en-Médoc are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and % Petit Verdot.

Soils are gravel, chalk, clay [2]

The INAO specifications demand the following production norms: a minimum of sugar, 178 g (6.3 oz) per litre of must, maximum base yield of 45 hecolitres per hectare, and a minimum alcohol by volume of 10.5%.[1]
