Hey Oshwah,

Thanks for catching my edits. I didn't realize they didn't follow the NPOV guidelines. Next time, I'll consult those before making changes. Have a nice day!

Hi Oshwah, Hope all's well,
I was wondering if you could do my di.ck our and move File:GHA Coaches logo.png to File:GHA Coaches 2008 logo.png (and then delete the File:GHA Coaches logo.png redirect as I'm wanting to upload the new logo, I wouldn't normally ask anyone but there's a massive backlog and I'm rather impatient ,

why are you reverting my edits of the wiki on stormfront, there's nothing wrong with it, as it's perfectly fine. dont you want people to know who the community of stormfront really are? grow a heart and stop hating other races just because you're paranoid that you wont be liked by all of your friends anymore. give it up, the public needs to know who the people of storm front truly are, let the world hear what they should know!

Hi, Inkd7s - Welcome to Wikipedia! I'd be absolutely delighted to help you. First, lets get you started with our guidelines. The relevant places that will help you is Wikipedia's verifiability policy and citing sources guideline. This should answer your questions. However, if they don't or if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to leave me a message and ask. I'll be happy to assist you and explain anything that you need. Again, I welcome you to Wikipedia and I hope that you become a long-term contributor here. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 03:07, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Analytic feminism entry

I reverted your edit. You said you made the edit to make the statement neutral. You changed what the source states. This was covered in the talk page. You can't change an article to mean something different than what the citation actually states because you may feel it's not neutral. I'm sorry, but you can not alter what sources actually state because you disagree. Please do not continue to do so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxxx12345 (talkcontribs) 03:59, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Excuse you, but I will continue to edit the article as the section you keep changing is a quote in the citation. Changing what the citation actually states is a NPOV violation on your part. The citation is quoted on the talk page. The edit being made is changing words in that quote. Of course I will change it, Wiki's rules are very clear on the issue. By the way, read the first three sentences of the article for Feminism. That's PRECISELY what the citation is noting: it is clearly an established academic agenda, it's in fact the opening definition of the term on Wikipedia! It's not somehow, magically, neutral to change that, it's factually incorrect. Maxxx12345 (talk) 08:41, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Maxxx12345 - Calm down . I think you're referring to the accidental reversion I made on Analytical feminism, which I rolled back (restoring your last edit) and left a dummy edit explaining that it was an accident. Instead of messaging other people with guns blaring (as I feel like you did here), you should consider looking at everything first so that your interactions with other editors remain calm and positive, as well as reflect an accurate analysis of the events that occurred. Had you just looked at the article history, you would have noticed and read what happened. The confusion aside, you should consider how you disagree and go about arguing your point. Saying things, such as "Excuse you, but I will continue to edit the article as the section you keep changing is a quote in the citation" - is not a good way to collaborate positively with others and come to a consensus; it creates a battleground, which is not acceptable on Wikipedia. As far as my first reversion goes... if you disagree and think that this is an improvement to the article and you can cite consensus and relevant sources (if applicable), great! Sounds good! I didn't think that was the case regarding the edit I reverted; thanks for fixing it and for letting me know. Cheers ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 20:29, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

My addition to the Ed Mccaffrey page..

How do I provide a source for a historical fact that I lived through? Go to any search engine and type 09/10/2001 and see if a Monday Night Football game between the Broncos and the Giants took place (the Broncos opener)? I remember it vividly, because I watched the game. It was the night before 09/11/2001. I don't think I need to cite sources for a date on a calendar. If you're saying that this page couldn't do the research before writing about the game where Eddie Mac broke his foot and dangled it for millions of Monday Night Football watchers all over the U.S.A., then this page has obvious issues for citation and reference. The NFL explicitly states, any reference to any game must include "express written consent of the National Football League". Where's that citation and permission? — Preceding unsigned comment added by MakeItWhatItShouldBe (talkcontribs) 04:42, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

MakeItWhatItShouldBe, what you're describing is original research. Things such as "I saw it", or "I live here", or "I personally know the person" - do not qualify as reliable sources within Wikipedia articles. Is your personal recollection reliable to those who do not know you? What if others, who also saw the game, disagree with you? What if, 100 years later, someone reads the article? These questions are purely hypothetical, but will hopefully help explain the reasoning behind the existence of these guidelines. Now, the part of your message where you mention "Google searching" - now, that's a step in the correct direction :-) ! Sources are what you should be looking for (especially in articles that are biographies of living people, or if you're adding content likely to be challenged). I highly recommend that you read Wikipedia's guidelines on original research and verifiability - they will further answer your questions. Please let me know if you have any questions about these guidelines. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 01:03, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Xfinity maybe using an AI to plagarize wikipedia

I have reason to believe that Xfinity's customer service is parsing your website for information, pretending to be a human AI. I would like to expose it by replacing the first line of the definition for maybe 3 minutes to try to fool the AI program.

This is a PDF of a discussion where it took information verbatim from the site, and pretended to be human when it clearly was not.

Hey Oshwah, I appreciate that you believe my edits weren't relevant, but I'd like to ask you why you think so?

I've updated my edits to avoid any attacks or suppositions but they are general facts that I've given with references.

I know that wikipedia tries to be as accurate as possible and that was the only reason I made the update I did. My friend and I were having a discussion about coal-fired generation versus natural gas-fired generation, and it took a very lot of reading and searching to get the actual amounts of emissions from comparable machines.... 500MW vx 600MW... are we talking particulates, CO2, Methane, and other emissions? Lets compare facts, which produces what and how much?

This inquiry that my friend and I had, led to me doing research, and the best research we could find from both left-leaning publications and right-leaning publications, showed us overwhelmingly the following true facts:

1) Coal-burning generators produce nearly no Methane, only ash and particulates and CO2, but the ash and particulates are entirely consumed by most modern bag chimney filtration systems like the one at the Irvington generation station that outpaced the EPA requirements 100x.

2) natural gas burning generators produce about 20% LESS CO2 emissions than their comparative coal burning generators.

3) natural gas burning generators from their distribution, transport, burning, and leakage produce tons of methane (CH4) into the environment.

4) Methane (CH4) is at some times estimated to be 25 times, 34 times, 231 (this is not a typo yes 231) times more damaging as a greenhouse gas compared to CO2, depending on state environmental estimates, EPA estimates, and UN Climate estimates respectively.

5) Working in the power industry I know for a fact that burning coal is about 2-3 cents per kwh, whereas, burning natural gas is over twice that in expense, 6-7 cents per kwh.

6) Conclusion: the evidence is obviously pointing to another nearly irrefutable fact: burning coal is better environmentally than burning natural gas!

I welcome any evidence or facts that you've researched that show otherwise... I'm willing to admit I'm wrong but given the actual facts on the table, it's difficult to understand how anyone can believe that we're better off as a society by eliminating coal-burning generators.

Would you please explain to me why my edit was tabled or quashed? I have been very polite and would like an explanation.

Much appreciated,

Respectfully,

Jaman M. Swearingen — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aithiopis (talkcontribs) 10:35, 8 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Aithiopis - Welcome to Wikipedia! The reason I reverted your edit was because it seemed to contain original research, as well as opinionated or non-neutral references, as well as (what also appears to be) speculation. I highly recommend that you read Wikipedia's guidelines on no original research, neutral point of view, and verifiability. These will assist you with improving your edits. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll be happy to assist you. Again, welcome! :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 00:52, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

Viktor Ahn (Ahn Hyun Soo) article comment is neutral

I had said he was considered by many to be the greatest short track speed skater of all time

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_track_speed_skating

Check out who has the highest number of olympic gold medals? He does - at 6.

Check out who has the highest number of world championship gold medals? He does - at 6.

Check out who has the highest number of total olympic medals? He does - at 8.

Check out who has the highest number of total world championship medals? He does - at 7.

He is by far the most decorated short track speed skater to have competed thus far... the facts speak for themselves. it is not a biased opinion. If someone said "Michael Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time" or Wayne Gretsky etc., I doubt you would have marked those edits as biased. However, Viktor Ahn is the MJ of short track speed skating.

Dupont

Hi,

You just denied my protection request for Dupont and I wanted to add a little more info.

The article of concern is the one about the chemical company. I initially listed it simply as Dupont, which is what appears at the top of the article, but that led to a disambiguation page when I entered it on the requests page.

I have been going back and forth with another editor for several days, with both of us pushing the limits on reversions. I won't assess blame here as the other party does not have the opportunity to tell their side, but it is pretty much an edit war now in my opinion.

Any help of any sort you can offer would be appreciated. 169.230.155.123 (talk) 10:58, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, 169.230.155.123 - I made a comment on your request. The reason that the article was not protected was due to the fact that there were no elevated levels of vandalism, edit warring, or disputes by multiple editors. To better understand how we determine whether or not an article should be protected, I highly recommend that you read Wikipedia's page protection guidelines. To answer your other questions: If you have a disagreement or dispute with someone else over article content, the best thing to do is to discuss it on the article's talk page and come to an agreement. Do not edit war, and do not request page protection in order to level yourself higher in a dispute. It's always best to work things out between the other editor. Please let me know if you have any more questions. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 15:46, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi Oshwah,
I understand that you are a volunteer and don't mean to be a pain in the ass. So without meaning in any way to disparage your efforts or question your judgment, I'm really having trouble understanding your comment that "there were no elevated levels of edit warring".
Being sensitive to the fact that I am on an admin's page making a unilateral report,I'm very reluctant to lay out a series of diffs here that could be perceived as a ones-sided version of events. But I sure wish you'd look again at the number of reverts that have occurred over the last 3 days, and the tone on the Talk page. Most of the reversions are not marked as "UNDO" edits. I am in fact here because I have reached the maximal number of reverts that I am comfortable performing and the Talk page discussion has not gone well.
As for "trying to gain the upper hand by getting the page protected", I can understand how you might gain that impression. But in fact, my initial request came when at a time when the most recent edits were from the other party. So please understand that I am trying very hard here to obey the rules, and to go beyond just following the rules and be fair.
That's my request. If you don't wish to be further involved, I'll thank you for your time and do my best.
Respectfully, 205.154.255.145 (talk) 21:51, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
205.154.255.145 - Relax, you're doing fine :-). No apologies are needed; I'm happy to answer your questions and help you with Wikipedia's protection policy. It's a founding rule that Wikipedia is open and free for anyone to edit. Protecting pages obviously conflict this principle; we only protect pages in events where it's preventive against future edits that that violate Wikipedia's policies. One example of a situation that would warrant protection is an article being vandalized by multiple IP's and at such a high rate that protecting the page is the best option. The article you submitted does not meet this policy, in that protecting the article is the last option to protect it from future harm. The guideline for that exact process is here. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 23:35, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. I've seen articles fully protected in the past under similar situations and without request, so I thought this was standard. I'll take a look at the link. 169.230.155.123 (talk) 00:00, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

List of murder convictions without a body

If you compare the text I removed with the resulting article, you will see that what I removed was an exact duplicate of a table already present in the article, and thus unnecessary. This was clearly explained in my edit summary. Please restore my previous edit as soon as possible, and try to pay more attention to what is being done next time, instead of reverting an edit simply because it was done by an anonymous user. 71.60.164.66 (talk) 11:00, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

About my page

hey hunny I was just dropping a quicky to ask you about helping me create a new page to bring awareness for my small problem. I have a secret sexual desire for computers. I really enjoy grinding up against the monitors of the computers and everywhere I go and I see a computer it just drives me so crazy. Ive leaked on several occasions in public where my sexual drive for computers just get to much for me to handle. I would just like to spread awareness to find others like me and hopefully tell them that its okay and lead them to a none computer life. Ive heard your one of the best in the business and I would really like your help making a page for this. THANK YOU — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masterpimp666 (talkcontribs) 12:06, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Censorship

I just want to let you know that you are an awful person for oppressing me by disposing of my opinions on Marine Le Pen. This is a direct insult to all of the combined values of free speech, and I will eventually find out who you are and sue the heck out of you. Be warned, I have rather good lawers. Have fun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.167.13.65 (talk) 12:11, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Anthony (Tony) Harris! Welcome to Wikipedia! The reason I reverted your edit was because you added your email address to article content, which concerned me and was the reason for my revert. A good place for you to start learning Wikipedia's policies and how to contribute is to read about Wikipedia's Five Pillars. Please let me know if you have any more questions, and I'll be happy to answer them or point you to the relevant Wikipedia guideline. regarding mahensingha intervention on Meena

Jalodiya (talk) 18:54, 12 November 2015 (UTC) sir I have written this message to tell you about mahensingha intervention on Meena community's page. This man has consistently intervene on meenas page ,if someone is adding minor text providing with there citation on meenas page which tells about meenas history, mahensingha rapidly revert it without any warning ⚠.He also tries to suppress important facts about meenas by spamming the discussions.I request to please warn him against demotion of meenas community. Thanks 18:54, 12 November 2015 (UTC)

Jalodiya (talk) 05:54, 13 November 2015 (UTC)this message not written to represent personal attacks on mahensingha . Jalodiya (talk) 05:54, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Sir ,I am requesting you to solve dispute between me and mahensingha on meenas. My only mistake is that I have tried to edit a discussion between me and mahensingha.I regret for my mistake which is done by me in a confusion. I have also adds some content to Meenas page provided with their citation (from a reliable source) but mahensingha says that you have to discuss this topic with me.i have also tried to discuss the topic with mahensingha but he always tried to spam the post so that no other editor or admin focus on my discussion. Now from past to days he has started warning through administrators noticeboard that this is your last warning and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia's article.

At last I would like to say when mahensingha want to add new content on Meena page he can add it but when somebody add new content to that page ,he or she has to discuss about it withmahensingha . He think that he is the admin and he can do anything without anybody permission and rest all the editor have to ask him about adding any faithful content to Meena's page. Thank you Jalodiya (talk) 03:05, 14 November 2015 (UTC)

Please note that the contents of the article Meena are outcome of the long discussions and active involvement of the experienced aditors (Please refer the Talk:Meena.
The said user on 10 Nov, 2015 made around 25 disruptive edits in which he altered the predecided contents to the caste promotional tone and removed the sourced sections of the article as suitable to his own promotional tone [See_Here.
Also he repeated doing the same for his WP:OR further on 11 and 12 Nov 2015 (Here).
He was invited to discussion where he remained totally non co operative on his stand of own WP:OR. He was cautioned and warned on his talk page by me and other editors, which he completely ignored and in response he served the final warning notice to me here.
Not only this, He did a series of disruptions even on Talk page of the article where he was called for discussion for giving justification for his disruptive edits, he in response simply changed the heading to my name (Most_interesting_to_see). I have never seen such a dominating behaviour where a user think that he can do anything on wikipedia and there is no one to check him. He does not bother for the policies at all.
Let me also submit that I have not made any major active edit on the page and I just requested him not to alter the contents which were decided by the long discussions. Even if he desires to change something then he must first obtain the consensus by discussion and for that he made many personal accusations on me on the article Talk page.
His main stress is on stating that Meena caste (Which in fact is a scheduled tribe of Rajasthan in India) is a Kshatriya caste and they are descendants of Matsya Kingdom, which in fact is a myth to which most of the scholars do not agree. All these statements are pre-existing in the article but he wants these facts to be written in affirmative tone as decided by him and there shall be nothing which is against the glorification of the caste. I wonder and worry that if he is not checked to do what he is doing presently, the article will lose the NPOV criteria. Also the wikipedia edit policies have no effect on him as he bothered least for all the advice.
Not only this much, see_here now, he again served me warning where as I have not made any edit on the article Meena on 14 November. Is it not a harassment to me. Is he free from following procedures and policies of wikipedia. Ok, fine then. What else can I do except reporting.
Not the words he is using here, actually his above mentioned actions speak the truth behind his lone motive of caste promotion. Thanks --MahenSingha (Talk) 09:55, 14 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi Jalodiya and MahenSingha. I apologize for the delay responding to your messages here. I've been very busy lately. I admit that my knowledge on Indian Tribes is pretty much zero, but I can offer assistance as far as the dispute itself, the content in question, and the sources that support it - from a "big picture" perspective as someone that is not involved.
Looking at the history of the Meena article, I see a lot of back-and-fourth content disputes between the two of you. Looking at this diff, I see that good content was removed (specifically, the paragraph that was cited by a book from Google Books). However, I also see that content was added (although not necessarily worded in a neutral tone) - it doesn't appear to be unambiguously disruptive. MahenSingha, remember to assume good faith and remember that he's a person too; I think that he genuinely believes that the content he's adding is legitimate. However, the warning messages left on your talk page here and here are disruptive, as your edits are clearly not vandalism. Jalodiya, please review what is and is not vandalism by reading Wikipedia's policy on vandalism - those warnings you left are not correct, and seem to be a result of Mahensingha's challenge of the content you've been adding to Meena. This edit here, where you change the subject header and content from your username to Mahensingha, can also be seen as disruptive. Focus on content, not people. If there is a discussion on the article's talk page between you two, keep the discussion there until consensus is reached regarding your content. If there is already a consensus in earlier discussion regarding the exact content being added back (and the consensus, of course, was that the content should not be kept), then the removal of that content is legitimate. If you feel that a new discussion should be held, it should be expressed on the talk page as well. Remember to follow dispute resolution protocol if either of you feel that the discussion on the article's talk page is going nowhere, or if it is warranted. Adding content back to the article and then reverting it in this back-and-fourth manner can be seen as edit warring, even if the three-revert rule is not violated. The Meena article's history page shows that this is what has been happening. Please be careful, discuss it further on the talk page, come to a consensus, and follow dispute resolution if the discussion does not offer a mutual solution between the two of you.
I hope that my response has helped to put your dispute in the correct direction, and that you both come to an agreement on the article's content. Please do not hesitate to respond with any questions that you may have. I'll be happy to help! Thanks for contributing, and happy editing to the both of you :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 14:08, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Hawthorne High School (Hawthorne, California)

I notice that you allowed the motto for this school to be changed form the long-sanding "A sound mind in a sound body" to "Every Cougar leaps" (now given as "Every Cougar L.E.A.P.S". Did you find a source to support this change other than the use of "Leadership * Empathy * Achievement * Preparation * Safety" on the school's website? I can see that it may be a saying now used at the school given that the School mascot is a cougar, but the only ref I can find for the school's motto is "Hawthorne High School - A Community Built on PRIDE" on the school's website here Meters (talk) 19:38, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Meters - It looks like I got mixed up and thought I had restored the original slogan. I meant to set it back to what it said before its recent change. I've emailed the school's principal for a bit of OR to see if ""Hawthorne High School - A Community Built on PRIDE" is the new official motto. Oshwah, you just reverted the Trelagliptin page I edited to its original stub state. I added a bunch of content to the page, but it is now gone. The content I removed was citations that I had duplicated on accident.

Entire page worth of content removed by Oshwah - Accidental?

Oshway- You just removed all of the edits and new information from the trelagliptin page. It was previously a stub before I added the content. I added a ton of content to the page and accidentally duplicated my references section - the content I removed was the duplicated references section. Please revert it back - I am sure you just made a simple mistake, but removed a ton of great content at the same time.

Thanks! Redman08 (talk) 21:29, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

However, I have recently gotten a notification saying that you are suggesting it be deleted because it is not significant? I wanted to see if you could tell me what about it is insignificant? Recent editing

I did recently edit a part of the U of Missouri protests page, but it was to add information I feel that shows a more honest view of the Black Lives Matter protests. My added material may be unpopular with some BLM activists, but I feel that it is necessary to show the whole truth about what is being said publicly in/ under their name. Several sources include https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MrQgceKxw7w which is from a newsperson with whom I disagree with on most issues, however this source is a reliable one in this instance. The other source is from Campus Reform although I am not sure where the video is I mentioned, but I have seen it several times, and saw clips of it on TV news so it is authentic, despite my not having a link to it at the moment. Please understand I am not trying to disparage people like those of the Black Lives Matter activists, but a number of BLM activists have been inciting violence or using hate speech about "white people" which I feel is not in the best interests of any persons fighting for social justice. The use of threats of violence, and racial slurs towards "whites" is not something that should be tolerated in public discourse. The use of hate speech towards any group by anyone based solely on their ethnicity is wrong whether the ethnicity is "white", "black", etc. and is wrong whatever the reasons for doing so(or whomever is saying the things). I'm sure you would agree that these BLM activists are among only a small percentage of the group as a whole as far as using such words or promoting any violence towards others, but these small numbers are representative of the BLM movement as a whole, and so should be "better" than those against whom they are protesting. Declaring open season on others based solely on race is a hate crime by definition, and I feel that no one should be allowed to use hate speech that incites violence against others, as that is against the law in all states as well as federal law. Free speech is something I believe is a good and noble thing, and often the protected speech is vile and full of hate, but it is free speech. It becomes speech not protected by law when it incites violence against people solely based solely on their race, in this instance against "white people" and cannot be allowed to go without commenting on. Thanks for your time, and I hope to have proper source material besides the You Tube video in time if I can find it/ them, but I am studying for finals the next few weeks and likely will not have time to do so. Thanks Realtruth4all (talk) 02:56, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Oshwah,

I recently deleted my work towards the updated references on part of the section "United states 2015" on the Cyberbullying talk page. I did this because I placed this information in the wrong section and wanted to make a new one. I did not know my work would then be deleted.

Also, I had left comments on other people's work on the talk page and those comments have no been deleted. did you do this?

Dear Oshwah, I received your message regarding the deletion for Deepak Sharma's profile. I have deleted the profile as he is a fraud and his production company gave me false information.

There have been reports about the fraud his company is doing. Hence, wanted to ensure that I am not part of any such missleading information to our viewers.

Cheers! Rakhikankane (talk) 06:32, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Moreover, the page Waapasi was deleted as the project is under some legal dispute for fraud. Some of the contributers were not paid for their work in the project and they opposed their name to be mentioned with the project. HENCE IT IS REMOVED ON REQUEST.

Rakhikankane (talk) 06:35, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi Rakhikankane. These are not reasons to blank the article's page. If there is a content dispute, this should be discussed on the article's talk page. Blanking of pages, such as what you did here and again here, is disruptive. I highly recommend that you read Wikipedia's policy on dispute resolution, as it describes the proper way to address concerns and discuss issues. If you have discussed the issue on the article's talk page and need assistance with a dispute over content, you're more than welcome to message me and ask for help. I'll be happy to do what I can do assist. Thank you for understanding, and happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 13:14, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

User User:Schmooble

After having difficulty with this used blanking a section on NIMBY repeatedly despite relevance and referencing i saw your previous warning and looked over their other contributions which appeared top contain a number of similar disruptive and non NPOV edits tho most on smaller scale, deleting words or quotes to remove anything that looked negative for the right wing of politics of positive for the left. There have also been some that were marked as grammatical that were removal of data, and some that were grammatical edits that were just plain wrong.I have undone a number of these edits - which where then immediately undone by Schmooble. I have left some subsequent warnings and pointers to how to use the talk page and to the five pillars but i am an ordinary user and arthritic and have neither the inclination nor ability to monitor this user's apparent borderline edit warring. Given you have had similar difficultly with them would you mind keeping an eye? Thank you in anticipation Mycosys (talk) 06:32, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Leslie Feinberg edits

Hi Oshwah,

Thanks for getting in touch on November 12 to explain why my edits on Leslie Feinberg's Wiki page didn't go through. You said that my edits were reversed because I hadn't explained my reasoning behind them. Sorry about that--I thought I had, but because I'm new to editing on Wikipedia I must have failed to save my editorial note by mistake.

The changes I made to the article had to do with Feinberg's pronouns: Ze identified as transgender and preferred ze/hir/hirself pronouns. As you know, misgendering a trans person, especially a well-known and respected trans activist like Leslie Feinberg, is not acceptable and can be very painful for trans people confronted with it. Also, many of the readers of Feinberg's page are very likely to be trans themselves or friends/family/allies of trans people, which makes the misgendering of a prominent trans rights activist like Feinberg even more glaringly inappropriate.

If you could advise me on how to make sure my edits are properly logged, I'll go back to the article and make them again. Alternatively, a more experienced editor might wish to go through the article and replace all instances of "she" with "ze," "her" with "hir," "herself" with "hirself."

Thanks in advance for your help.

All best,

Cold war 2

Hi I just wanted to add a {{Infobox military conflict between who is who the confrict with, when it started, who are the belligerents, and yes failed doing so, they infobox was horrible but it took me a while to get it right, because I did not know how to make one infobox so I looked at the Anglo-Zanzibar war one to learn how to make one, hence the introduction of some english commanders by mistake.

Is it alright if Cold War 2 had an infobox that shows when it started and between who it is(West with EU and NAtO, and Russia?)

I look forward for your answer! Have a good day sir! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.24.199.26 (talk) 05:14, 28 November 2015‎ (UTC)

VIP (2)

What's strange this time[1], is that the IP hadn't edited for 2 days. -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:22, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, zzuuzz. Yeah, I'm stumped here. I don't know why Huggle reported that IP at WP:VIP, and I'm pretty positive that I haven't interacted with this IP at all. It looks like it happened previously in October (see here). It replaced the page's content with (what looks like) the formatting of WP:AIV - I'm thinking that this might be a bug within Huggle? I'm scratching my head here... What do you think? ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 16:31, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
I can't account for the particular IP being reported. Assuming you're using regular tools, my guess is that VIP or the page's full title is coded into Huggle, to cater for other wikis where this title is used. Maybe someone familiar with the code would know. But then, you're the only person I've seen do this :) -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:39, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi again, zzuuzz - That's even more strange to me! You'd think that other Huggle users would run into this if it were a bug or coding error. However, I do use both the Mac and Windows version of Huggle interchangeably... I wonder if it's the Mac version that's doing this. It's highly doubtful, but it could be that the Mac version is not popular or widely used as compared to the others. I'll keep an eye out and see if I can't accidentally reproduce it again. Hopefully I'll notice quick enough and realize what I did to make it happen. I'm 90% sure that it's probably something stupid on my part. Nonetheless, thanks for reverting and for the message :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 16:47, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, FaimKhanMusical and welcome to Wikipedia! The reason that the article you created (Faim Khan Musical) is being considered for speedy deletion is because the article subject is of a non-notable musical artist and doesn't make a realistic or reasonable claim of significance (See this speedy deletion section for more information). To properly contest the deletion of the article, you need to follow the directions stated within the speedy deletion tag. I saw that you removed the speedy deletion tag from the article yourself - please do not do this, as it is against policy and is not the proper way to contest the deletion. I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia:Your First Article, as it will provide you with good information regarding article creation as well as Wikipedia's guidelines and policies with articles. On a side note, I see that the article you created has the same title as your username. This represents a conflict of interest, as your matching username implies that you have personal or emotional ties with the article subject. Creating or otherwise contributing to articles where you have a vested conflict of interest is a highly discouraged behavior on Wikipedia. I would take time and review this guideline before creating any more articles, as it will be important for you to learn and understand. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them and assist you. Again, welcome to Wikipedia! I hope that you take time and learn how everything works and become a long-term contributor here! ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 18:38, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Oshwah. You messaged me stating that you removed my addition to Kevin Abstract's page. If you could notify me which statement you need a citation for I would happily provide it. Just let me know what citations are needed.

Boymeetsblur (talk) 21:39, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Thanks, Boymeetsblur

Hi, Boymeetsblur. I saw this edit and noticed that no source was cited. Some of the content in your previous edit here was also not supported with any sources (namely, the Personal life section that you added). I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia's policies on Biographies of living persons, as these articles are treated differently than others when it comes to unreferenced content. In short, biographies of living persons must be edited with extreme care and unreferenced content (especially controversial content) is to be removed immediately and on-sight. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 21:50, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Reformatted sources

Hi Oshwah

I did remove those sources but they are still present within the article itself; the citations are still there, they are just reformatted to match all of the previous citations that were made. The sections have been made collectively as part of a group project, and it will be graded so we wanted all of the citations to match on the citation section. I reformatted it again so they all match. If possible, please leave the citations in this format. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by ApplemanCooperKutzke (talkcontribs) 23:26, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

"double standard" editing

I recently got a message from you that the removed my added section to the page "double standard" because it seemed "less than neutral" to you. I would have appreciated if instead of removing it entirely, you edited or paraphrased it in such a way as to remove or minimize the not-so-neutral elements, but to keep the overall meaning the same. Thank you.

KINGSLEY by Carolyn O'Neal

Hello,

Yes, I am the author of KINGSLEY and had created the page for my novel as well as for myself as the author. I was disappointed when everything I had done to add KINGSLEY to the list of environmental fiction books, create a page for the novel, and for myself were deleted. Was it the content or the format that was in error? I got the impression that my work wasn't significant enough to be on wikipedia. Do you not allow authors to create pages? At what point is a novel significant enough to be allowed to join?

Thanks, Cjopbj (talk) 08:18, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

@Cjopbj: Hi there. You didn't ask me but I'll just interject this for a second, to welcome you and to deliver these guidelines for you to read very thoroughly to answer your good and conscientious though apparently untimely questions: WP:N WP:NBOOK and WP:COI. Generally, it's very hard or unlikely or virtually impossible for someone to create their own Wikipedia article about themselves. If the article is still around, I'd take a look. Also, the deleted article isn't in your account history, so were you using multiple accounts? If so, that's also generally forbidden. — Smuckola(talk) 08:26, 29 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi, Cjopbj - To put Smuckola's words into context: Wikipedia has guidelines regarding notability (and even a sub-guideline on the notability of authors). Articles that do not meet these guidelines will be either tagged for speedy deletion or proposed deletion if the article meets the criterion, or nominated for an article for deletion discussion. Creating articles about yourself represents a conflict of interest, a very highly discouraged behavior on Wikipedia. I highly recommend that you read the Wikipedia notability guidelines that I linked, as well as Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline, as they will answer your questions and address your concerns. Please do not hesitate to respond with any additional questions that you may have. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 08:56, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Not Very Neutral

If the article on White Americans is neutral, why doesn't the article provide an opposing view or rebuke of the critical race theory nonsense that is displayed on the page? Socialist nonsense is spewed without any opposing viewpoints on an entire group of people and this is considered neutral? 70.125.28.9 (talk) 08:19, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi, 70.125.28.9. This edit does not adhere to a neutral point of view because of this part: "and this is somehow supposed to be a bad thing." - this introduces commentary and bias within the article because you're saying this, not the article subject or someone directly within that article subject. Hence, it is why I reverted that change and left you a message. I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, as it will provide you with good information to make your future edits compliant with our policies and guidelines. Please let me know if you have any questions about the policy. I'll be happy to answer them. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 12:03, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manatee_County_Area_Transit

You need to put my changes back in.

You are certainly free to modify the wording to make it comport to what you consider neutral.

However, the information provided by the Manatee county transit and Sarasota transit web pages is wholely inadequate. I am a rider of the system in both counties and I have first-hand knowledge of the system REALLY works. For example, you reinstated the section on "transfers." Transfers haven't existed since Oct 2014, but yet the information stayed wrong on this web page and even on the sourced material.

Manatee county nor Sarasota maintain accurate information so either you can let this wiki article by wrong, or you can let people that actually use the service keep the most accurate information on the page.

Hi, 108.9.18.78 - The content you added appears to constitute original research, which cannot exist on Wikipedia articles. You're more than welcome to add anything back to the article that I removed. However, I highly recommend that you cite reliable sources with the content that you're adding - content that is likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable source, and any content that appears to not be attributable to a reliable source can be challenged and removed. If you need any assistance with citing sources, please do not hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to help you do this. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 13:21, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

What's you're problem? This section is about the bus system. You don't even live here. This page was part of the Bus Project. There are going to be differences between what can be sourced and what really happens in real life. If you think it's better that people get NO information, misinformation or outdate information, then I don't know what to do.

You need to put the page back. It can't be fully sourced to web sources. I have all the bus books, and while a lot of it was substantially correct, it failed to address the routes that operated between county lines. Which I suspect might very well be based on what driver happens to be driving the bus that day.

Hi again, 108.9.18.78. I completely understand your frustration - especially given the time that you probably put into editing the article. When I was new to editing Wikipedia, I had plenty of content removed after I added it. As much of a bummer it is to be in my position right now and be the voice of disappointment to you, I must follow Wikipedia's guidelines and assure that the articles I review are within these guidelines. However, not all is lost! If you look at the history of the article, you'll find that your edits are not permanently gone. All revisions made to every article can be accessed and used to make corrections to future edits. I highly recommend that you take some time and review Wikipedia's policies on original research, what constitutes as reliable sources, and how to cite them in-line. Understanding these guidelines will prevent you from experiencing frustration in the future as you continue to contribute to the project. In fact, a good place that would help you with everything from the very beginning is Wikipedia's five pillars page. Again, please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions regarding these policies. I'm more than willing to help you cite a source in-line with your added content, or explain anything within these policies that are confusing or hard to understand. Again, I understand where your frustration is coming from and I appreciate you for taking the time to discuss it here. ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 13:44, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

I'm not going to do it.

I know how the MCAT and SCAT systems work. I was sharing my vast knowledge so that someone didn't have to reinvent the wheel. I have better things to do with my time than fighting things out with you over rules that really don't apply to something that is very much a "local knowledge" issue. It was hard enough to make the edits I did, and to try to bring stuff back to life to fix it to your exacting standards, is beyond my technical knowledge and my desire to read "rules" that have dubious value in a case like this. Had a Manatee or Sarasota county resident been up in arms over what I was posting about the bus system, that would have been an entirely different matter.

It's amazing that the orginal page had outdated information from at least prior to Oct 2014, and no one cared, but as soon as I started cleaning up the outdated fare information, you were right there to make a stink. You're not really making the world a better place. It really says a lot about the kind of person you are: the rules are more important than the information.

My goal isn't to be a wiki author so I'll get over it. I won't be back.

108.9.18.78, I feel that I've done my best to try and explain the reason behind my content removal from the article and offer you my full assistance. Whether or not you decide to read these guidelines and let me work with you to properly expand the article is entirely your choice, and I respect your decision if you do not wish to do so. My offer to assist you is not based on a time limit nor is it conditional; you're more than welcome at any time to return and ask for my help if you'd like my assistance. I'm sorry that our conversation had to end this way; however, I appreciate you for discussing your frustration with me and for doing your best to remain civil throughout. Whether or not I speak with you again, I wish you the best of luck and a happy Sunday. Sincerely yours - ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 14:15, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

For example, something obnoxious like:
CatcherStorm
would be coded like this:
<b><span style="color:#FF0000">CatcherStorm</span></b>
If you need more help with your signature, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be happy to help you out :-D ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 01:22, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, can you tell me the CSS for coloring the "talk" orange and adding the contribs button? The StormCatcher (talk) 02:44, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi again, The StormCatcher - sure can! A good example that might tickle your fancy is below:
Example
(talk) (contribs)
<span style="color:orange"> (talk)</span> (contribs)
Let me know if I can do anything else for you. I'll be happy to do it. Enjoy :-D ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 02:55, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
