If you can't bear the thought of going another moment without communicating with me, please send me email or use my talk page. I may respond on yours. If I don't respond right away, assume I have a day job. :-)

What have I done recently? (Or maybe you want a more complete log, or my edit count?) For my own use mostly, here are my user subpages.

A while back I started a gallery of some of the images listed below.

Some tips are obsolete. So we need new tips too. Please share your best tips and tip ideas at the Tip of the day department.

Linking to a section of an article

Sometimes it is preferable to refer to a section of a page when linking, rather than to the whole page. You can create a link to any subheading on any page in Wikipedia by including a # followed by the subheading at the end of a link.

For example: Wikipedia:Community portal#Help out.

In all section links, be sure to use a piped link for readability.

Using a piped link, the previous example looks like this: Help out.

If a section title changes, rather than going red/inactive, the link will lead to the top of the linked page.
