Michael, Ali and Malcolm had previously performed together in another local band and after losing the guitarist, John and Alex were brought in to form Jiezuberband. On September 21st 2007 the band performed live for the first time, finishing in last place at the Jumping Jacks Battle of the Bands. The following week after their second live performance both Ali and Malcolm left the band. In October 2006 Ian Duncan (Preacher, Peat Loaf) and Andy Wood (The iFoundation) were drafted in on Drums and Bass respectively. In November 2006 the band played alongside American band Dufus at Glasgow's Barfly venue.

In 2006 Jiezuberband entered the studio with Dave Reilly of China Crisis to record their first EP 'Mile High Maniac' during this time the band were booked to play at Glasgow's 13th Note, during the show guitarist Alex Mccutcheon snapped a string off his guitar and proceeded to walk off stage mid performance. Following this show Alex was replaced by guitarist Scott Coulter in December of 2006 and the band released the 'Mile High Maniac' EP. The new line up with Scott Coulter performed for the first time at Glasgow's Classic Grand in February 2007 where they were met with mixed reviews. In May of 2008 Andy Wood left the band to concentrate on other projects. In June 2008 Ritchie Muir was drafted in to take over the position of Bass Player having previously filled in at various points over the previous year. In June 2009 Ritchie left to pursue other projects and Kenneth Maclean[1] was brought in to complete the line up. Over the course of the next year Jiezuberband toured the UK extensively, performing around the UK Festivals. In April 2010 Claire Gibson joined the band as a second vocalist. In June 2010 Jiezuberband Headlined Glasgow's o2 Academy as part of their UK summer tour.[2]

In the summer of 2011, Jiezuberband then went on to perform at the Forest of Galtres Festival[3] alongside The Charlatans; also headlining the festival were The Levellers and British Sea Power.
