help me

if you look at my sandbox, you'll see the article there. I would like some help finding an acceptable photograph for it, as viruses are invisible. thanks. L.S. inc. (talk) 14:53, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

Norovirus uses a transmission electron micrograph of the virus. HIV uses a scanning electron micrograph. Something like that might be available for CIRV, too. Getting a freely licensed image likely will be the tricky part. Huon (talk) 20:44, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

{{help me}} what does it mean that a user is not registered? i mean, how can a user exist when it doesn't exist? L.S. inc. (talk) 15:24, 5 February 2017 (UTC)

When he has never logged into that wiki. When you create an account, it's created at 233 Wikipedias. But it will not be activated on a wiki until you visit that wiki while logged in, then the user page and user talk page are activated. So this page shows which wikis you have been "seen" in. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Carnation Italian ringspot virus

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Carnation Italian ringspot virus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://dx.doi.org/10.1186/1471-2121-9-54. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:45, 6 February 2017 (UTC)

Draft:Coyote 66

Hello, I noticed your removal of the deletion tag on the above. By way of background, this 'page' was created by an editor who has been (was...they're now blocked indefinitely) a long-term problem to the Wiki F1 project as well as other motorsport projects. Usually editing as an IP (250+ different ones to date) they also edited under the username 'Rowde'. The deletion of this page is part of what will likely be a general clear up of their 'work'. I have been unable to find Coyote 66 as a racing car name in any of the usual sources, although the chassis as a brand does have a Wiki page. One of the problems we encountered was their failure to communicate or heed advice or warnings particularly in respect of copy-vio or WP:CWW and the text on this page is copied from Lotus 38 where the Coyote connection is mentioned. The page should probably be re-directed there if not deleted as it would fail GnG. Knowing this editor's habits I suspect he might have made up the name to go with the year the 38 was used. This discussion at the TP of the blocking Admin. refers in respect of recent developments. Regards, Eagleash (talk) 16:40, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

no problem Eagleash, but is there a way to say it in fewer words? L.S. inc. (talk) 17:44, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
Some explanation is necessary rather than just saying "why have you done this, it's not particularly helpful?" Eagleash (talk) 18:37, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
