Laura Petrescu better known as Lora (born in Vaslui, Romania on 23 July 1982) is Romanian a pop-dance singer from Romania.

Lora graduated from Sfânta Maria high school in Galati and applied for Prima TV's Star Factory in 2004. In 2006, she became a founding member of Wassabi with a launching song named "Have Some Fun with Radio 21" becoming the signature tune of Radio 21 that year and taking part in the Selecţia Naţională Eurovision 2007 to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest. The songs were "Do the Tango with Me" and "Crazy", the latter with band Morandi.

On April 1, 2009, Lora withdraw from the band for a solo career. After 8 months, Lora tried her hand at qualifying for Eurovision but now as a duo with Sonny Flame in the song "Come Along", coming 7th overall despite the popularity of the song.

Lora has collaborated with many acts including Sensor in the open concert in Bucharest. with Phelipe in "Hot Spot" and in 2010 with Adrian Sîna of the band Akcent in "My Passion" with great succces in Romania and internationally. The music video featured models Ana Stefanescu and Silviu Tolu. Lora released the song "No More Tears" with the help of Adrian Sîna also with an accompanying music video in 2011. Her song "Fall in Love Tonight" has also found international success.

Se7en is a comic book edited by David Seidman and Ralph Tedesco. It was published as a hardcover edition by Zenescope Entertainment on January 15, 2008 and is based on the 1995 1995 cult film Se7en directed by David Fincher. Zenescope acquired the license to adapt the film after building a strong relationship with New Line Cinema, the owner of the film.

But while the film was told from the perspective of the two homicide detectives, Somerset (played by Morgan Freeman) and Mills (played by Brad Pitt), the book Se7en is told from the perspective of John Doe (that was played in the film by Kevin Spacey).

In the book, originally published in seven monthly issue series this September based on the film "Se7en" from September 2006 to October 2007 to be put together in one book in January 2008.

Series in the book Each issue explores a different sin in 32 page, in full color format and each brought by a different creating team and a different illustrated cover conveying the "sin". John Doe is painting a masterpiece using the Se7en deadly sins to teach a world full of sinners a lesson they won't soon forget as they step inside the mind of a notorious serial killer.

The seven issues are dedicated to the Se7en deadly sins, i.e. lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, lust, pride, envy and wrath. The seven main creators each handling one sin as follows:

Glenn Thomas better known by his stage name Doe B (b. Montgomery, Alabama 1991 - d. Montgomery, December 28, 2013) was an American MC and hip hop rapper of the Trap with Atlanta-based Grand Hustle label's Hustle Gang. He was killed in a shooting in his home town Montgomery by unknown gunmen. Doe B was known with his signature eye patch, the result of another shooting in 2010.

Doe B was signed to Grand Hustle Records by the label's founder T.I. and appeared on Hustle Gang's G.D.O.D. (Get Dough Or Die) compilation with three tracks: "Kemosabe", "Real Niggas" and "Let Me Find Out (Remix)".

Doe B later released his own mixtape the 18-track Baby Jesus (full title Cote Block Music & Hoodrich present Doe B -- Baby Jesus) in 2013. An alternative 21-track mixtape with 18 of the original and 3 more tracks was released with additional materials by DJ Scream crediting Cote Block Music, Hustle Gang, Hoodrich present DJ Scream & Doe B -- Baby Jesus.

Doe B also released music videos for "Let Me Find Out" featuring T.I. and Juicy J, "2 Many" featuring Rich Homie Quan and "Trap Muzik". His debut studio album was expected to be released in early 2014.

Death He was shot dead in Centennial Bar and Grill on Highland Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama. Kimberle Johnson, was also killed. The shooting that occurred at 1:30 a.m. left six other patrons injured. The Centennial was housed in what was earlier known as the Rose Supper Club subject of a shooting in December 2012 that left six people injured. The name of the venue had been changed after that incident. After the latest shooting, Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange ordered the club to close immediately.

Gunther Göbbel (born on 6 May 1979 in Nuremberg, Germany) is a German singer who took part in second season (2003-2004) of Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS) series coming 5th overall in 12 finalist contestants. He then became part of the German cover songs duo Lemon Ice as Geeno alongside rapper Jay Low. After the break-up of the group, he continued his solo music career as Geeno Fabulous (singer and DJ) and a record producer (under his name Gunther Göbbel).

Lemon Ice (2004-2009)

He founded the record label Utopic Music. In 2006, he formed the German cover duo group Lemon Ice, alongside rapper Jay Low. Gunther Göbbel was on lead vocals and was known as Geeno (at times Geeno Fabulous). The band had a string of hits in Germany and Austria and one hit single in Finland. They also released their debut and only studio album entitled One in 2007 containing many of their earlier cover hits "Stand by Me" (Ben E. King), "Only You" (Yazoo), "Girl You Know It's True" (Milli Vanilli) and "Right Here Waiting" (Richard Marx).

Solo career (2009-present) After the break-up of the group in 2009, he continued with a solo career named Geeno Fabulous, or just DJ GF. In 2009 he was signed to the German dance club label "Andorfine". He released a series of collaborations featuring hip hop artist Young Sixx including I'm Famous (2009), I'm So Horny (2010), That Girl (2011).

He was featured in a number of releases of DJ and producer Crew 7 including This Time (2010), Billy Jean (2011), I Go to Rio and F**k It (2013). In 2013, he was featured in Crew 7's "Wild", a hit single that reached number 1 in the Deutsche Dance Charts in December 2013.

Other releases include the 2011 single "Rhythm Is All That I Need" featuring Raheema. In 2011, he co-produced with Christian Greiner, the Chillout Rockerz electronic future jazz album Play for Pleasure. Finest Lounge Music released on Consens Music ‎/ Sony Music Entertainment. He was credited as Gunther Göbbel rather than Geeno Fabulous. Since 2011, he is events manager and resident DJ at Goija, a well-known German night venue in Nuremberg.

Geeno Fabulous was active in radio mixing launching "Energy Club Royal", a 2-hour radio show on Radio Energy Nürnberg.

Dor Daniel (in Hebrew דור דניאל ) born in Hod HaSharon, Israel on August 29, 1982 is an Israeli singer, songwriter and composer.

Career Songwriting In 2000, his debut song was "Im Haiti Eloim" (meaning If I Were God) (אם הייתי אלוהים) which found some airtime on Israeli radio. He was just 18 at the time. After his military service in the Israeli Defense Forces, Dor Daniel started a songwriting career in earnest with his catchy melodic pop and rock compositions from 2005 to 2008, writing initially for Harel Skaat, who he knew while in the Army. He also wrote for Miri Mesika, a friend of Skaat.

But it was with the song "Ahava ktana" אהבה קטנה meaning small love) on Shiri Maimon's debut album that gained him huge fame. It was a song he had written when he was very young and forgot in a drawer alongside tens of other songs he had written. With success of "Ahava ktana", came a contract offer from Helicon Records CEO Roni Baron for a songwriting deal. Encouraged by the success, he wrote for Idan Yaniv, Hila Zaitun, Maya Bouskilla amongst others. He also composed theme song "Time Tunnel" מנהרת הזמן for the TV series Mean Girls (ילדות רעות) an adaptation of an American teen comedy film.

Despite earning fame as a writer, Dor Daniel saw himself first and foremost as a performing singer-songwriter and started preparing for his own debut album, but put it on hold briefly after he passed a needed surgery on his vocal cords.

Singing In April 2009 Daniel saw the release of his first album Between Dreams בין החלומות. Daniel wrote and composed all the songs on the album, in cooperation with songwriter Meir Goldberg (דור דניאל). The album was greatly expected after the the pre-released singles "Place your side" (late 2008) and "I wanted to" (early 2009) from the upcoming debut album proved to be very successful, put on Israeli radio playlists and both peaked at number 1 in the weekly Galgalatz charts. With the album Between Dreams, an autobiographical album after his break-up with his long-running girlfriend, the title track was released as a third single, again topping the Israeli charts, and finally "Tomorrow will be fine". With these successes, Dor Daniel won the "Israeli Breakthrough Artist of the Year" by Galgalatz.

In March 2011, he released his follow-up album Ten months (עשרה חודשים), again writing and composing all the songs on the album. "Calling You" קורא לך had been pre-released from the album in December 2010 reaching the top of the charts charts. Shortly before the album was released, another single was released, "I'm all yours" (כולי שלך).

He cooperated with Idan Yaniv in the latter's album Yes love (כן לאהבה) particularly in the song "Never give up" (לא מוותר). In 2012, the Israeli Hot 3 station broadcast a docu-reality show Goldstar גולסטאר, a soccer-themed series with Dor Daniel as one of the participants of the football side.

He is preparing a third album due for release in 2014. But he has already two singles as pre-releases: "Old North" (הצפון הישן) in April 2013 and "Tmuna Mishtana" meaning Image Transition (תמונה משתנה) from his new album.

Jobke Heiblom better known as Jay Hardway (born 27 April 1991) is a Dutch DJ, producer and drummer. He is signed to Universal Music Publishing.

He is best know for co-writing "Wizard" with Martin Garrix. The 2013 single became an international hit charting in Netherlands, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The two had already collaborated in "Registration Code" in late 2012 and "Error 404" earlier in 2013. Hardway has also worked with Sick Individuals which resulted in the track "Someday - You're In My Head ".

Baggalútur

Baggalútur is a successful Icelandic musical band. The band has achieved great popularity in Iceland releasing a number of highly charting albums. The band interprets original songs as well as popular Icelandic songs and Icelandic renditions of international hits from various genres. Traditionally Baggalútur perform on annual Christmas occasions with great following.

Their album Mamma þarf að djamma was their biggest success with the album topping the Icelandic charts throughout November and December 2013; including the Christmas chart. The title track "Mamma þarf að djamma" in collaboration with and featuring the vocals of Jóhanna Guðrún had an even bigger success in the Icelandic Singles Charts, staying at top of Tónlist singles chart for 13 consecutive weeks making it the biggest selling Icelandic language single for 2013.

The name is connected with the digital online Icelandic magazine Baggalútur operational since 11 May 2001. The site has extremely cynical and critical content consisting of ironic or sarcastic articles and imaginary interviews.

Niggas' Revenge is a 2001 controversial 113-minute gay pornographic film produced and directed by Dick Wadd starring Bobby Blake and Flex-Deon Blake in their last film together. In his autobiography My Life in Porn, Bobby Blake consecrated a whole chapter for this specific film explaining some of his motives describing it as "an expensive movie and the most powerful movie of my life" adding: "It's also one of the most controversial adult films ever made, and that's what I wanted it to be - I had decided this was to be my last film, and I wanted to take it to the limit."

Synopsis Three neo-nazi supremacists (Dallas Chalmers and his white "posse" Chane Adams and Bud Cockerham) go to the residence of the Blakes (Bobby Blake and his brother Chris Blake and Flex-Deon Blake) and scream racial slurs, harassing and bully them in an attempt to get them to leave the neighborhood. However, the muscular black neighbors have finally had enough and get their revenge on the white harassers. They capture them and put them in a cage. Then they proceed to beat them up, urinate on them and sexually degrade and torture them until they completely break down and submit to the power of their black masters. The film is violent with scenes of BDSM, rimming, pissing, fisting, verbal abuse. They also invite Eric Top Stud, a light skinned Puerto Rican stud to take part in abusing the neo-nazis. There are also scenes of taboo incest between Chris and Bobby Blake with Chris being the sole submissive black in the film.

Background Bobby Blake had decided to retire from his long-term career as a gay pornographic star. But had asked Dick Wadd before he quit to act in one last film with his ex-partner his Flex-Deon Blake with no strings attached, where Bobby would be given the upper hand in doing whatever he pleased or fantasized. Most of the plot was reportedly left unscripted and entirely to the discretion of Bobby Blake who wanted to keep the element of surprise and apprehension on the rest of the characters in the film including the three submissive characters and the director. Whilst filming the movie, two of the white actors were reportedly concussed on set as a result of vigorous pounding and filming had to be stopped as the two men were brought round with proper hydration.

About the roles Flex-Deon Blake and Chris Blake played in the movie, he said:

“ When you watch Flex and Chris Blake in that film, you can tell the difference between the way I handled the other [submissive] guys, and the way they did. Flex and Chris just didn't have it in them to really dominate a situation in the way I did. In fact they were weak. Especially Chris. He was hired to be a top beside me and Flex, but it was no surprise that he ended up in the pillory with me fucking is ass as well as the white guys' asses. ”

But Bobby Blake praised the three submissive white actors of the film for accepting to go on with no strings attached. In My Life in Porn he admits:

“ I have to command the guys who played the neo-nazis – Bud, Dallas Chalmers, and Chane Adams – beacuse they took a genuine beating. It wasn't a fake movie; from the whipping with the belt, to the breaking of two-by-four over their asses, the slapping, the spitting, the making them drink piss, all of that was totally real.

All the time I wanted to do just one film that was totally extreme. I did it and that was it. I was liberated form something. I had done what I needed. I retired from porn and went on with muy life.

”

Bobby Blake also apologized for the unprotected sex of the film.

“ This was the only movie in my entire career where I fucked without condoms. All the time I was making movies, and since my retirement from the adult entertainment industry, I've done a lot of work supporting HIV/AIDS awareness issues, so what did I think I was doing in that particular instance. The only honest answer I can give is: we all make mistakes. And that was a mistake I made. I ws caught up in the extreme mentality and an extreme situation, and I didn't exercise proper control over myself. But what I would say to anybody, and in particular young people today, is don't let somebody else's mistake be your mistake. Don't use what I did as an excuse to do something you know isn't wise. Practice safer sex. ”

Analysis The film Niggas' Revenge has become the subject of serious academic discussion about race relations through sex and reversal of roles of oppressor and oppressed. In his book, Unlimited Intimacy: Reflections on the Subculture of Barebacking, Tim Dean, a professor at the University at Buffalo, treats Niggas' Revenge in detail that all in order, Dean argues, to "conjure the transgressive charge of unprotected anal sex among gay men", the film "fetishizes the simultaneous transgression of a number of taboos".

Dean analyzes the portrayal of racism in the movie:

“ Dick Wadd draws an analogy between U.S. racism and German anti-Semitism, at the same time that he draws on an established porn convention of representing interracial sex meted out by blacks to whites. Transposing anti-Semitism into racism against African-Americans makes sense for video pornography in that black/white difference lends itself to starker more dramatic visualization than do other racial or ethnic differences. ”

On the troubling unprotected sex in the midst of the HIV epidemic, Dean says:

“ In bareback porn, the black-on-white contrast also may be a way of making visible less perceptible differences such as that between HIV-positive men and their HIV-negative counterparts. A black men fucking a white man without protection adds salience to the idea of revenge. ”

On fetishizing the black body represented in many interracial sex scenes, Dean explains:

“ Not only are the activities, context and paraphernalia are recognizably fetishistic [in the film], the participants' bodies are loaded with fetish insignia. Regarding the shaved heads and musculature of the African-American performers, we might say that their whole bodies have been phallisized … They also are heavily pierced and tattooed, especially Flex-Deon Blake, who, in addition to pierced ears, eyebrow, nipples, and navel, sports a formidable Prince Albert through the head of his penis. The thick silver hoops that adorn his body are complemented by the chain-link harness that he dons for the sex scenes, along with black leather boots which all the dominant men wear throughout the proceedings ”

The cultural prohibition on incestuous sex is also broken in the film, argues Dean.

“ Unprotected anal sex is by no means the only taboo that this movie contravenes. The Dick Wadd web informs viewers that Flex-Deon Blake and Bobby Blake are "real life partners" which contributes to the illusion that we're observing a spontaneous unscripted expression of these men's authentic desires … The three African American men are represented as brothers , not just "bruthas." This is particularly significant with respect to the single instance of "versatility", when an African-American takes the bottom role and Bobby Blake fucks Chris Blake next to the stocks. Here the fantasy would be that of witnessing not interracial but incestuous gay sex. ”

Follow-up: Niggas' Revenge 2 The film was so successful commercially that Dick Wadd filmed a follow-up Niggas' Revenge 2, but none of the actors in the first film were used. Instead Wadd had a new cast of neo-nazi submissive men and black dominant actors.

Faul & Wad Ad is a French DJ duo from Paris best known for their deep-house hit "Changes".

Faul, stylized as FAUL pseudonym of French DJ Maxime and Wad Ad (stage name of French DJ real name Camil Meyer) met in school and started to produce music during their study time. In 2013, they heard Pnau, a dance music side project originating from Sydney, Australia putting the sampling of a children's choir called "Baby". Ciao Bella is a 86-minute 2007 Swedish feature film by director Mani Masserat-Agah and is the Iranian-Swedish director's debut long feature film.

Synopsis Gothenburg is host for an international soccer tournament called the Gothia Cup where teams from Sweden and various other countries are competing. A 16-year-old Swedish teenager / soccer player, from an immigrant family of Iranian origin, Mustafa Moradi from Lerum (played by Poyan Karimi), is yearning for love, but he is just too "nerdy" and lacks self confidence to develop meaningful relationships and is downright intimidated by the girls who just want to have him as a "friend" but not as a lover.

Mustafa has entered with his team in the tournament where he meets a visiting team from Italy who happen to need an "extra". So he wears a #10 jersey as "Massimo" and begins practicing with them. Son he discovers a sudden surge in his popularity by just changing his name to something Italian. Encouraged by his initial success, he tries to conceal his Iranian identity and develop an Italian personna convinced this is his chance with the girls attending the Cup games.

He is "groomed" to "become an Italian" by one of the stylish Italian players called Enrico (played by Oliver Wahlgren-Ingrosso) who gladly volunteers, but cautioning him not to fall in love with girls he goes out with. Mustafa and Enrico are clearly attracted to each other and a male bond develops between the two as Enrico's fascination for Mustafa grows.

There is a gradual transformation of Mustafa into "Massimo", his new assumed name. And sooner than he knows, he starts dating Linnea (played by Chanelle Lindell), a young but more mature Swedish woman, who longs for a genuine guy with sincerity and courage who fall for "Massimo". But she has her own baggage as she is pregnant from a previous one-stop affair in a bar and is planning on an abortion with the help of a nurse friend (played by Maria Hedborg). Disenchanted with her father (played by Jimmy Lindström) she also plans on quitting Sweden by escaping with "Massimo" to Italy at the end of the tournament as the relationship between the two blossoms into a very serious love affair.

Frustrated with his own dilemmas, and seeing the Italian players are intentionally ignoring him and do not pass the ball, Mustafa leaves the Italian soccer team in disgust. His best buddy and Italian teammate Enrico, his "partner in crime" becomes frenetic as he begs Mustafa to stay and in a moment of weakness, professes to him his love with a kiss, but Mustafa rejects him and Enrico leaves in despair.

Meanwhile "Massimo"'s position with Linnea becomes more and more precarious and has any close calls as his acquaintances unknowingly call his bluff. But Massimo makes a pact with Linnea upon the insistence of the latter never to lie to each others, he eventually confesses and tells her the truth about his continuous lies. Eventually they reconcile and decide to continue their life together.

Reception The film, shot on a low budget and with many of the main characters played by young aspiring novice actors of no previous film experience, was well-received by critics as Mani Maserrat-Agah's debut film finding it a witty romantic comedy. The film got a review of 4/5 by Moviezine, VeckoRevyn and Frida and 3/5 by Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet and Expressen.

The film premiered on August 3, 2007 with more than 30,000 attending in the first two weeks. The film contained some graphic sex scenes by the teenagers with demands to censor the film for certain ages.

Yoann Fréget is a French singer and the winner of season 2 of the French competition series The Voice: la plus belle voix as part of Team Garou.

He auditioned for the show singing Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All" with all four judges (Florent Pagny, Jenifer, Louis Bertignac and Garou) turning their chairs. Fréget opted to be on Garou's team. His audition was aired on the third episode on 16 February 2013.

On 18 May 2013, on the final of the competition, he carried the title with a very slim margin, bringing in 28% of the popular votes against 27.8% for the runner-up Olympe from Team Jenifer and 25% for second runner up Nuno Resende from Team Florent Pagny.

Cristiano Araújo Melo (born in Goiânia, state of Goiás, Brazil on 24 January 1986) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and musician of Música sertaneja. The singer became famous for singles like "Mente pra mim" (2011), "Você mudou" (2012), "Caso indefinido" (2013) and "Maus bocados" (2013). After his EP Efeitos in 2011 and live album and DVD Ao Vivo em Goiânia in 2012, he released his solo studio album Continua in 2013. He is signed to the well-known Brazilian Som Livre record label.

Career

Beginnings

From early childhood in Goiás, Cristiano Araújo was influenced by sertanejo. Clearly having a talent for singing, and coming from a family where that had four generations of musicians and singers, his João Reis and Zenaide Melo encouraged him to try for an artistic career and bought him a guitar while he was 6-years-old. By age 9, he was having public performances, and by 10, he was composing songs. At age 13, he recorded a small album of 5 songs and presented them at Festival do Faustão. His album appeared at #6 in local "região centro oeste" (the midwest) charts and got an offer for including his song on the CD Jovens Talentos.

In duo with sister Ana Cristina

In the following years, he appeared on television and main events and at 17, formed a singing duo with his twin sister Ana Cristina. During the following six years, the duo recorded many songs and performed together, but failed to have much commercial success.

Solo career

In 2010, when Araújo was 24, he went solo with a bolder plan appeared with well-established sertanejo acts in preparation for a live CD and DVD. In early 2011, he released a solo EP Efeitos with appearances by Gusttavo Lima, Humberto & Ronaldo and by Jorge (from the famous duo Jorge & Mateus). The EP became a huge popularity online and a tour followed with great encouragement for his career by Jorge, a long-running friend. In the height of the tour, he would perform an average of 20 shows per month to packed audiences. In 2011-2012, in a span of 1 year, he did 117 shows.

Very notably he was invited to the famous talk show Domingão do Faustão, which paved the way for fame with the Sertanejo Pop Festival 2012 held in Sao Paulo, followed by a live album and DVD Ao Vivo em Goiânia with collaborations from well-known acts like Bruno e Marrone, Fernando & Sorocaba, Israel & Rodolffo and João Reis amongst others. In 2013, he released his first studio album Continua.

Career He debuted with a major role in the 2007 Swedish film Ciao Bella directed by Iranian-Swedish director Mani Maserrat-Agah. In the film he was credited with his birth name Oliver Wahlgren-Ingrosso. He played the role of Enrico, a young Italian football player who befriends Mustafa, a Swedish footballer of Iranian descent played by Poyan Karimi and trains Mustafa to "become" Massimo, just for the aim of attracting girls attending an international football tournament.

Using a shortened name Oliver Ingrosso, he started a musical career being a DJ in Progressive house music areleasing an EP titled iTrack with Tim Berg (better known as Avicii) and Otto Knows and has appeared with well-known DJs like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Swedish House Mafia, Adrian Lux, Mandy and Adam Beyer. A great influence on him for pursuing a music career was the success of his cousin Sebastian Ingrosso, a long time member of Swedish House Mafia since 2005 and that opened up a lot of opportunities for Oliver Ingrosso. He has DJed in a great number of venues locally in Sweeden and internationally in Toronto, New York, Brazil and Spain.

Personal life Ingrosso comes from an artistic family. He is the grandson of Swedish actor, lyricist and singer Hans Wahlgren and renowned actress Christina Schollin. His parents are artist Pernilla Wahlgren and dancer and restaurateur Emilio Ingrosso. His younger siblings Bianca Wahlgren-Ingrosso (born 1994) and Benjamin Wahlgren Ingrosso (born 1997) are both singers.

After his mother and father had a bitter divorce, Pernilla married Joachim Lennholm and they have another son Theodor Wahlgren-Lennholm (born 2007).

Eden is a South African pop band. Originally made up of Jay, Paolo, Johan and Sean, the band debuted during the popular South African Aardklop Festival followed by a tour all over South Africa releasing their album In in 1997. After Els left in 2003, the boy band continued as a trio. Since 2003, the band has released three more albums, Point of No Return (2003), Eden (2006) and Knieë Lam (2008), a live DVD Live at The Mardi Gras (2008) and a compilation album Dekade (2009). They are signed to Jukebox label.

The debut was with the limited edition album release titled In on the local label Volstruis Plate. The official national debut release was the album Point of No Return on Select Music / Jukebox Records / Coleske Artists / Sony Music / Sheer. It was a huge hit that went three times platinum in South Africa The self-titled album Eden on Jukebox Records went double platinum. Eden sings a variety of power pop and soft melody ballads, both in Afrikaans language and in English, the latter mostly comprising covers of well-known hits.

His beginnings were with theatre. Then he took part as a solo act, and won the annual South African Crescendo award for Afrikaans music organized by ATKV (the Afrikaans Language and Culture Association, in Afrikaans Afrikaanse Taal- en Kultuurvereniging). The win was jointly with another contestant named Joe Niemand. Following that, he released a solo album that earned two nominations for the local GMT Awards winning the title for "Best Pop Album".

Stage and theatre

He was very active on stage in theatrical performances. His debut was with Neil Lessick in the musical Let's Rock in 1999 as a lead singer and was an actor under study for South African State Theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Immediately after that he appeared in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a member of the DooWah Boys and a lead role in pantomime in A Lad In a Lamp for which he was nominated for an acting prize. Years later he would appear yet again in Janice Honeyman's local remake of Aladdin.

Album SOLO

In 2010, with his band Eden taking a break, Jaco du Plessis released a popular solo album titled SOLO, that sold more than 40,000 copies and gained platinum status in South Africa. the album was in the making for three years starting 2007, with most materials written by Ewald Coleske with additional co-writing by Jay and Reana Nel. Some materials were also contributed by Dewald Wasserfall and by Johan Vorster, the latter his colleague in Eden.

The debut single was "Is ek nie die een". Nitable tracks were "Melanie" also used in Platteland, and two duets with Lianie May. Jay was awarded as a solo act two Tempo Awards by the popular Huisgenoot magazine for "Best Pop Album" and for "Song of the Year" for his single solo release "Melanie". Music video for "Toe Stop My Hart" was nominated for Huisgenoot Tempo award for "Best Music Video of the Year". Jay was also nominated for two South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominations in 2010 for "Best Pop Album" and "Best Newcomer" (as a solo act).

Starting 2011, he concentarted his efforts with Eden, in preparation for their big launch with the massive album success Point Of No Return'.

Duo Jay en Lianie May

Besides his solo and band acts, Jay has also cooperated with the South African singer Lianie May forming a duet called Jay en Lianie. They had released a 2012 joint duets album together called Bonnie en Clyde including 16 tracks most notably the songs "Toe Stop my Hart" and "In a Moment Like This".

in Platteland

Jaco du Plessis also took part in a major South African musical drama film Platteland co-written by Deon Opperman and by Sean Else, an earlier member of Eden. The film premiered on screen on 12 November 2011. Jay plays in the film the role of Jakes Ferreira, the son of Mike Ferreira which is played by singer, songwriter and actor Steve Hofmeyr. The film also stars Lianie May as Riana van Niekerk and Bok van Blerk as Dirk Pretorius. The song "Melanie" sung by Jay is on the soundtrack and one of the contemporary music hits woven in the storyline of Platteland with other popular tunes included "Tyd om te Trek" from Bok van Blerk, "Vergeet My Nie" by Lianie May, "Pa en Seun" by Steve Hofmeyr and Bok van Blerk and "Sweet Dreams" by Karlien van Jaarsveld.

He has signed a contract with the brand "Lee Cooper" and is the official face of the firm for its jeans wear and perfume series in South Africa.

Johan (Johan Vorster) Johan Vorster, the vocalist and songwriter of the band started music very early and studied piano and guitar. He studied Music at Universiteit van Potchefstroom and joined the boy band Eden in the late 1990s writing most of the band's big hits including "Is Jy Bang", "54 5de Straat" and "Lyf teen Lyf".

Songwriting and producing / Mozi Records

In 2005, he co-founded Mozi Records with Sean Else, a fellow band member. Bok van Blerk was signed to the label. Vorster wrote and produced most of his album De la Rey which became the biggest selling original Afrikaans record of all time. Johan was the lead writer of the van Blerk song "De la Rey". The song was mentioned on the front page of the New York Times because of its controversial content. He also wrote and produced Bok van Blerk's second album, Tyd om te Trek, an album that won the SAMA (South African Music Award) for best-selling album in South-Africa for 2009/2010.

In 2006 Mozi Records signed their first female artist, Lianie May. Vorster wrote and produced her album, also writing the song "Jy soen my nie meer nie". Her album became the most sold album by an Afrikaans female artist. It won the SAMA (South African Music Award) for the top selling album. In 2008, Vorster won the Huisgenoot Tempo award for "Songwriter of the Year" for the song.

Sports anthems

Vorster teamed up with Coleske Artists as lead writer for the song "Ons vir Jou Suid-Afrika" used for 2007 Rugby World Cup. South Africa won the championship trophy earning the album the Huisgenoot Tempo award for "Best Afrikaans Compilation Album". Johan and Coleske Artists co-wrote and produced the new album Rugby is Groot for the 2011 Rugby World Cup campaign.

Songwriting and producing / Johan Vorster Songs

While at Mozi Records, he established his own "Johan Vorster Songs" publishing firm in 2009, holding all rights to his songs. In the second half of 2010, he resigned from Mozi Records, continuing on his own with his record company and publishing house, Johan Vorster Songs. The firm also includes Andre Odendaal developing and directing film and theatre projects and Jenny Griesel as media and marketing specialist.

In 2010, he signed Karlien van Jaarsveld to his new company. With her album Jakkals trou met wolf se vrou with the label, she won the Huisgenoot Tempo award for "Best Newcomer" in 2011. In 2012, he signed Dewald Wasserfall, and wrote the hit song "Eendag as ons groot is" which has reached number 1 on the charts of several radio stations. Johan Vorster Songs has also exclusively signed Lisa Katzke and as a joint venture with Coleske Artists, Jannie Moolman.

Vorster wrote for the duo Lianie en Jay, notably "Toe Stop My Hart". Johan has also written "Juliet" performed by Steve Hofmeyr, "Net voor die storm kom" performed by Theuns Jordaan, "'n Vrou wild dit hoor" by Bobby Van Jaarsveld co-winner of the Ghoema 2013 "Song of the Year" award and "Melanie" performed by his Eden team colleague Jay (Jaco du Plessis) winning the Huisgenoot Tempo award for "Song of the Year" in 2011.

With Coleske Artists, Johan wrote tens of chart topping songs and produced the Afrikaans is Groot compilation albums series.

Musicals and films

Vorster also co-wrote the musical score for the locally produced musicals, Ons vir Jou, Jock of the bushveld and Shaka Zulu - The Musical, a theatre piece about the rise and fall of the legendary Shaka Zulu, that got staged in the Nelson Mandela Theatre and the State Theatre in Pretoria in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

He wrote most of the musical score for the South African Afrikaans film Platteland released in November 2011, featuring, Lianie May, Bok vam Blerk, Karlien and Jay. He produced a follow up musical film As Jy Sing released in November 2013.

Paolo (Paolo Azevedo) Paulo Azevedo born in Cape Town is a formally trained singer and musician who also plays the piano, guitar and saxophone. He studied computer programming at Kaapse Technikon, established as a young man his own sound, lighting and staging company and after school hours sang at various venues during his youth. He was a founding member of the band with Didi Kriel and began writing some materials. Fascinated by the success of American and british boy bands, soon others joined in to render it a four-piece band. He has also expertise as a sound engineer and has cooperated with various artists like Mathys Roets, Danie Niehaus, Johannes Kerkorrel and the Coleske-broers. He also does stage production and has toured with various artists.

Sean Els After leaving Eden, prior to their major album Point of No Return in 2003, Sean Els continued as a solo singer, songwriter, actor and record producer co-founding his own record studios and label Mozi Records in partnership with band member Johan Vorster. He made appearances on stage in a number of productions and shows including 7de Laan and Egoli.

In 2006, he hosted the first season of Afrikaans version of Idol broadcast on DSTV's kykNET channel with the 12-week broadcast premiering on May 28, 2006. Dewald Louw won the title on 27 August 2006 with judges being singer, songwriter and producer Mynie Grove, music and media manager and promoter Deon Maas and singer, songwriter and playwright Taliep Petersen.

In 2010, to coincide with the World Cup held in South Africa, he co-wrote with Samson Khumalo and Deon Opperman, Shaka Zulu - The Musical, a theatre piece about the rise and fall of the legendary Shaka Zulu. The musical play was directed by Khumalo and Opperman including musical compositions by Johan Vorster, an ex-team mate of Sean Els in Eden. The musical played at the the South African State Theatre in Pretoria premiering on 26 June 2010 and running until 18 July 2010.

In 2010-2011, he was also a co-writer of the major South African film release Platteland with Deon Opperman. Jay du Plessis, his former mate in Eden was part of the cast in the film.

Nabil Sahli better known by his stage name Nessbeal (born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, on 16 August 1978) is a French rapper of Moroccan origin. He has released starting 2006 four albums and one mixtape. Nessbeal started earlier as NessBeal under which he released his debut La mélodie des briques. At times he has also used NE2S or just Ness.

Career Nabil Sahli was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, in the western suburbs of Paris, to a Moroccan family. When his parents divorced he went to live with his mother in difficult conditions in Hautes Noues in Villiers-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne an eastern suburb of Paris, whereas his father stayed in Boulogne-Billancourt. In 1996, he formed the rap and hip hop group Dicidens, a trio including Nessbeal and French-Martinique rapper Zesau and Korias realizing various maxis in 1999 and 2000 being signed to the independent label Magma that later was known as Paire d'As. He cooperated with the band Lunatic. Their album HLM rezidants released in 2004, sold 10,000 copies and was their first chart success reaching number 78 on the SNEP, French albums chart where it stayed for 3 weeks.

Nessbeal was also involved with collective 92I with Lunatic, la Malekal Morte, Sir Doum's etc. He took part in Booba's first two releases. Not seeing a great progress of his career in 92I, he left after signing to Nouvelle Donne music label releasing two solo albums La mélodie des briques in 2006, considered a great example of underground rap followed by the more commercially successful Rois sans couronne in 2008 that reportedly sold 20,000 copies and in 2009 a mixtape, RSC Sessions Perdues. With his brother Dedy, he declared establishing a fictional label he named Verbal Brolik.

Signed to 7th Magnitude label, in 2010, he released NE2S, produced by Skread from Orelsan's team. The album became his biggest success with many collaborations with Orelsan, La Fouine, Bradley Jones, Isleym and Indila. With the popularity of the single "À chaque jour suffit sa peine" available online and with big coverage from French radio, NE2S sold close to 30,000 copies peaking at number 13 in the albums chart. In November 2011 came his fourth album and the second with 7th Magnitude under the title Sélection Naturelle with collaborations with rapper Soprano, La Fouine, Mister You, Mélissa Nkonda. It was also produced by Skread.

He took part with some materials in Mister You's album MDR Mec de rue 2 with the track "Mesdames, messieurs". He was involved also with some collective projects like Street Lourd Hall Stars, Illicite projet and Talents fâchés etc. He also had two "fights" with Medine and Youssoupha. After Sélection naturelle, he announced that he was taking a break from rapping, but by the end of 2013 announced he was preparing a new release in addition to composing for soundtrack of the film La Marche.

Broers or alternatively Die Broers is a South African music group trio made up of Snyman brother Christo, Cobus and Stephan and formed in 2006. Broers (meaning Brothers in Afrikaans) had s big hit with "Huistoe" (meaning Home in Afrikaans) in 2008 for which they won "Best Song of the Year" in the Tempo Awards given annually by Huisgenoot popular Afrikaans magazine in South Africa. Their live DVD Broers Tussen die Sterre (meaning Brothers Between the Stars) was nominated for the category "Best DVD of the Year". The band has its own publishing company SMP (Snyman-musiekproduksies).

Christo en Cobus Prior to Broers, the older brothers had worked independently as a duo under the name Christo en Cobus starting 1993. The last release as a duo was in 2007 after which they concentrated on the Boers with four studio albums including a gospel album.

Nic Stevens Meanwhile the youngest brother Stephan Snyman had been developing a music career on his own using the name Nic Stevens. Stephan is also a multi-instrumentalist playing the piano, guitar and the trumpet having graduated with a Bachelor of Music from University of Cape Town. He has three albums to his name including a full album of cover of Bryan Adams songs.

Benoît "Ben" Poher (born Mantes-la-Jolie in Yvelines deparment, France on 27 June 1979) is a French singer, songwriter (lyrics and music). He was a lead singer at various times in the French rock bands Kyo and Empyr.

Poher was born in Mantes-la-Jolie, Yvelines, in the western suburbs of Paris to musician parents. He pursued a musical life while at Ensemble scolaire Notre-Dame "Les Oiseaux" (a French junior high school).

In Kyo While studying at Notre-Dame "Les Oiseaux" in 1994, Poher met the brothers Fabien and Florian Dubois, and Nicolas Chassagne. They formed a rock band later known as Kyo in 1997. Originally Benoît was a bass player in the band before taking over as lead vocals because of hisa powerful voice. The band continued practicing and performing and in 2000 released an independent self-titled album Kyo. But it was with their follow-up album le chemin in 2003 that made it to number 2 on the French Albums Chart. The third album 300 Lésions made it to the top of the French Albums Chart in 2004, before the band announced they were discontinuing.

Fight Aids collective Benoît Poher was heavily involved with his band mates in the HIV/AIDS campaign, forming Fight Aids, a French collective that released the charity song "L'Or de nos vies". The song was written by Poher with his band Kyo. Artists taking part were: Anggun, Bénabar, Amel Bent, Patrick Bruel, Corneille, Emma Daumas, Jenifer, Kyo, Leslie, Emmanuel Moire, M. Pokora, Roch Voisine, Stéphanie de Monaco, Tété. The revenues from the sale of the single and downloads was donated to F.A.M. (Fight Aids Monaco) charity, in support of of building a house called "maison de vie" (house of life) near Avignon which offers both psychological and material aid to persons living with either HIV and AIDS and their families. The song released on 28 July 2006 received wide media coverage and reached number 5 in SNEP, the French singles chart. NRJ 12 also broadcast on 15 August 2006, a 24-minute documentary about "making of" of the music video and interviews with participating artists.

In Empyr [[:Image:Empyr mouvsession.jpg|thumb|right|200px|Benoît Poher in Empyr.]] After the disbandment of Kyo, in 2007, Poher with another Kyo colleague Florian Dubous joined a French English-language rock band called Empyr, a supergroup that besides Poher (lead vocalist of the band) and Dubous from Kyo on guitars, it included Frédéric Duquesne of Watcha on guitar, Benoît Julliard of band Pleymo on bass and Jocelyn Moze of Vegastar on drums. The debut album in 2008 called The Peaceful Riot charted in France reaching number 17 in France and number 20 in Belgian French charts , also charting in Switzerland. Their first single "New Day" has gained great recognition and radio play. The band released an EP Your Skin My Skin in 2009 and a second album Unicorn in 2011.

Songwriting / Composing besides writing materials for Kyo and Empyr, Poher has written lyrics and composed songs for anumber of well-known artists. He write the lyrics for two singles for Sita (full name Sita Vermeulen) that were included in her album L'envers Du Décor in 2004, namely the title track "L'envers du Décor" and a second hit "Rien à perdre".

In 2005, he also composed the song "Ma religion" for famous French rock musician Johnny Hallyday. The song was included in Hallyday's album Ma vérité. In 2005, he composed the theme music for Allo Quiche, a French television series broadcast on the French Canal+ network. In 2005, he composed for Jenifer the single "Le souvenir de ce jour" and in 2006 the single "Regarde-nous" for Emma Daumas and in 2007, "Le Sourire" for Emmanuel Moire. In 2011, he wrote "Je reste" for Amel Bent. He also wrote for the French singer Cocovan.

Poher has written for a number of famous stage acts. He wrote "Mon essentiel" for the French musical comedy Le Roi Soleil, and co-wrote the song "Une autre vie" of the French stage production Cléopâtre, as well as "Le Ciel et l'Enfer" for the French musical production Dracula, l'amour plus fort que la mort.

In Kyo comeback (2013) In July 2013, Poher announced he was joining his old band mates in Kyo for a comeback and launched the band's new album L'équilibre in 2014 with two single releases, the title track "L'équilibre" and the single "Le Graal", both with accompanying music videos.

Personal life On 25 August 2007, Benoît married Laetitia after a long relationship stretching to their adolescence. The couple have a son, Joshua, born in 2010.

His reputation was marred by his vocal support of the controversial French 2006 law DADVSI (the abbreviation of the French Loi sur le Droit d’Auteur et les Droits Voisins dans la Société de l’Information (in English: "law on authors' rights and related rights in the information society), particularly after he cited a similar law in China that had led to several arrests of offenders. However he disassociated himself of any further support in an interview in 2011.

Empyr is a French English language rock band estalished in 2007 and made up of 5 members from four different French bands, Kyo, Pleymo, Watcha and Vegastar.

In 2008, the band released its debut album The Peaceful Riot that was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Ken Andrews. The album was relatively successful reaching number 17 in France and number 20 in Belgian French charts. It also charted in Switzerland. The single "New Day" also got radio time. The band has also released a follow-up EP Your Skin, My Skin in 2009 and the album Unicorn in 2011.

Brent Morin

Brent Morin, is a Los Angeles-based American comedian, stand-up comic and actor. He was raised in South Windsor, Connecticut before moving to Los Angeles at 18 to study at a film school. After graduation he worked as a PA with Conan O'Brien in The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on NBC and continuing with Conan on TBS.

Besides O'Brien, he has appears regularly as a stand-up comic on shows with The Comedy Store, The Improv and Laugh Factory as well as on tours throughout the United States. He co-starred in NBC series Undateable.

"Sometimes It Rains" is a 2006 single by David Charvet, his last release before returning for an acting and television career. The song is co-written by Arnie Roman (who had penned songs for the Pointer Sisters, Celine Dion, Marc Anthony and others) and Ty Lacy (with songs for LeAnn Rimes, Faith Hill, Keith Urban, amongst others).

The song appears in Charvet's third and last album Se laisser quelque chose with Universal Music and his second single from the album, after the initial track "Je te dédie". The song charted in SNEP, the official French singles chart and in Belgium's Ultratip French singles chart.

Music video A music video was also shot for the single by HappyShooting. It shows a soulful Charvet waking at home, taking a morning shower, checking his diary for a certain engagement he takes note of and then going out. On his way, Charvet buys a bouquet of flowers from a street vendor, while heads turn as he walks down the road with eligible women desiring to get his attention and company and he trying to ignore them. Instead, he proceeds to take an almost empty bus, except for a young girl and her mother as makes funny gestures to win her heart. He also notices a apprehensive young man who jumps off the bus to meet an enlisted soldier friend. Eventually Charvet reaches his destination, a cemetery, where he lays the flowers he bought on the tombstone of a fallen relative, that identifies a PFC ("private first class) laid there who had served in World War II. The music video fades away with a message on a black screen that says "in memory of Fifi and Lucette".

Giedrė Barauskaitė (born in Vilnius, 23 October 1985) better known by her stage mononym GiedRé or Giedré (pronounced /ɡje.dʁe/), is a Lithuanian singer-songwriter comedian based in France.

Born in what was then Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic, she moved with her mother to a Paris suburb after the death of her father when she was just seven. After her baccalauréat, she studied drama at Cours Florent and ENSATT (École nationale supérieure des arts et techniques du théâtre) and appeared in small roles in television, theatre and ads. Composing some song, she started performing in a local bar at the early 2000s. Noticed by Raphaël Mezrahi during an audition, she opened for him at a show of his in La Cigale. She was invited a number if times to Europe 1 show C'est quoi ce bordel? presented by Laurent Baffie. using teh stage name Moisie, she opened to Baffie shows for a month and a half, followed by opening for comedian Oldelaf. In 2011, she had her debut independent album release and appeared in Les Francofolies de La Rochelle and FrancoFolies de Montréal, Les Francofolies de Spa in Belgium became a laureat of Fonds d'action et d'initiative rock (FAIR) in 2012. She engaged on a local tour with 100 dates in two years and wearing colourful folkloric cloths, her repertoire is full of politically incorrect and black humour and controversial taboo subjects.

Elephanz is a French pop rock indie band formed as a duo in January 2008 by the two brothers Jonathan and Maxime Verleysen originating from Nantes, France. Both are vocalists and musicians, with Jonathan playing guitar and Maxime keyboards. Two other contributing members are Thibaud Vanhooland on bass and Clement Plaza-Illand on drums were included turning it into a full band. They are signed to Blackbird / Naïve Records label Yamani Dazi. Elephanz music is inspired by pop melodies from the 1960s and 1970s with a new spin.

Bodh'aktan is a band of traditional music fusing elements of traditional Irish, Celtic and Québécois, Breton and Maritime with hard rock, country, polka and punk. The band based in the Canadian province of Quebec is signed with Go Musique, a Quebec label and starting 2013 with FrostByte Media based in Toronto.

The name Bodh'aktan (pronounced Bod Ak Tan), is inspired by a Gaelic term for fisherman's boots. Many of the members wear kilts during their live and very energetic stage performances creating raucous party music using traditional and modern instruments.

Career The band's debut French-language album was Au diable les remords. Co-produced by Fred St-Gelais, it was released on Go Musique local Quebec label. This was coupled with a tour of Quebec and a European tour including dates in France, Belgium and Germany). They also played many major summer festival in Quebec in 2012 including Les FrancoFolies de Montréal, Le Festival d'été de Quebec and Les Rhythmes du Monde. Their hit "La Sainte Nitouche" with lyrics by Keven Landry and music by Landry and Bodh'aktan became a crossover pop hit for them on the Quebec charts and was put on rotation with many Quebec radio stations and on MusiquePlus, a specialized music channel in the province.

In 2013, the band signed with FrostByte Media Inc. releasing the album Against Winds and Tides targeting the English-language market in Canada and internationally. The tracks are mostly English-language translations of the album Au diable les remords in addition to four new tracks and one cover song, "Killing in the Name", a folk rock cover by Bodh'aktan of Rage Against the Machine. Artistic collaborations included featuring vocals of Alan Doyle (of Canadian folk rock band Great Big Sea) and Quebec singer Marie-Mai and a guest appearance of German Celtic music band Fiddler's Green in a rendition of their "Fields of Green" featuring Bodh'aktan. The album was released on 8 October 2013 in Canada, the United States, United Kingdom and various European countries. They also appeared in Lafayette, Louisiana International Festival in 2013.

Tilbury is an Icelandic rock band with folk influences founded in the summer of 2010. It started as a personal musical project by singer Þormóður Dagsson called Formaður Dagsbrúnar. He had been a drummer in Skakkamange, Jeff Who? and Hudson Wayne.

As the project developed he formed the band Tilbury, with experienced musicians. Kristinn Evertsson from Valdimar on synthesizers, the guitarist Orn Eldjarn who was in Brother Grass, and bass player Guðmundur Óskar from Hjaltalin. The drummer Magnús Tryggvason has also played on Sin Fang, Amiina and Moses Hightower. Based on the depth of musical talent, Icekandic media has dubbed the project a supergroup.

Tilbury has released two albums, the debut Exorcise released on 7 May 2012 followed by Northern Comfort in January 2014.

Babou Nicolai Nelson Lowe (born 7 December 1994) better known by his mononym Babou is a Danish singer of mixed Danish-Gambian origin. He came third in Danish X Factor in 2011. He has released one album and his single "Supernova" has charted in Denmark, becoming the theme song for season 10 of the Danish version of the reality television series Paradise Hotel.

Beginnings Babou was born to a Gambian father and a Danish mother. He started very early in music. In the year 2005, only aged 10, he participated in the talent show Scenen er din broadcast on TV 2 coming second for the category "Junior Song". Gaining huge popularity, he released an album of covers titled For Once in My Life.

He was just 12, when his mother who had been diagnosed with an ongoing mental illness finally opted to put the young Babou in foster care with foster parents residing in Aarhus.

In X Factor

In 2011, at age 16, he took part in season 4 of the Danish version of the competition The X Factor broadcast on Danish television channel DR1, from 1 January to 25 March 2011 auditioning as a contestant from Aarhus with the song "Cry Me Out" from Pixie Lott. He was put through with the three judges, Cutfather, Pernille Rosendahl and Thomas Blachman. Reaching the Final 9 stage, he was mentored by Cutfather in the "Under 25" category.

Despite heavy speculation he would win the title, he finished third overall, with 26,23% of the popular vote in the Final 3 stage, to winner Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen (or just the mononym Sarah) and runner-up Annelouise.

After X Factor After staying away a couple of years, Babou came back with a single "Supernova" that has charted on Tracklisten, the official Danish Singles Chart entering the chart at number 8 in its first week of release.

The song had been picked for promotion of the Danish reality television series Paradise Hotel in its tenth season in 2014. Footage of the venue used for filming was used in a music video released for the song.

Deepcentral is a successful Romanian pop duo with House music influences formed in 2009 by Romanian DJ George Călin and vocalist Doru Todoruț.

Deepcentral released their self-titled debut album Deepcentral o mainly dance house music on 3 June 2009 on Universal Music Romania with "Cry It Away" being their first charting single.

Deepcentral stylized at times as DeepCentral had the biggest Romanian hit of 2010 with "In Love". The single was as the top of the year-end list of Romanian hits, after having spent 7 weeks at the top of the Romanian Top 100 in the period March to May that year, with a total of 17 weeks in the Top 10. As a result, Deepcentral was nominated to MTV Europe Music Award for Best Romanian Act as one of 5 possible acts to win the title in 2010. But the title eventually went to Romanian singer Inna. The band was also featured in Xonia's hit "My Beautiful One". The single stayed 64 weeks in the Romanian Top 100.

Cris Cab (born in Miami, Florida in 1994) is a singer-songwriter who has released a number of EPs, a mixtape, Echo Boom, and has become well known with his international hit "Liar Liar". He is signed to Mercury Records and Island Def Jam Records. His songs are a fusion of pop, reggae, and soul.

Career Cris Cab started music at a very young age. Born to Cuban parents in Miami, Florida, he spent summers in the Bahamas broadening his music tastes. At 14, his father bought him his first studio session. At 15, his early demos caught the attention of Pharrell Williams who met him and mentored him. Hugely popular online, articles appeared about him on blogs including Perez Hilton, Just Jared and online website of Billboard. Cris Cab also opened for various acts including T-Pain, Matisyahu, Gym Class Heroes and O.A.R.

Signing a management deal, he released his debut Foreword EP in 2011 and his original single "Good Girls". Wyclef Jean met him on tour and became a second mentor to him and recorded "She's So Fly" with him.

In 2012 Cris Cab released a full-length mixtape, Echo Boom featuring production and collaboration by Pharrell Williams, Mavado, Wyclef Jean, Melanie Fiona, Shaggy, Daytona, Marc Roberge (of O.A.R.) and was signed to Mercury Records. His single "Good Girls (Don't Grow On Trees)" was written by Pharrell Williams and produced by Wyclef Jean, and features rap section by Big Sean.

His international fame came with "Liar, Liar" released on Island Def Jam Recods that has charted in Germany, France, Netherlands and Belgium.

Shufler is a British band with a mix of funk, rock and soul formed in 2011 with a debut concert at the Jazz Café.. The collective has released its self-titled album Shuffler in 2013. The band is made up of Daniel Pearce on lead vocals and purcussions, Paul Turner on bass, Rob Harris on guitar and Derrick McKenzie on drums. It has following in both UK and Europe.

The members of the band that plays original materials as well as stylized covers have had great musicianship experience.

Daniel Pearce was in Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 and part of the boy band that resulted from the show called One True Voice. He has also collaborated with rapper Dizzee Rascal as backing vocals and was featured in the hit "Dirtee Disco".

The other three have known each other through their work in British group Jamiroquai. Paul Turner was a bassist with them before joining Shuffler. He was also involved in the eclectic progressive rock trio The Dark Sinatras. Derrick McKenzie and Rob Harris were drummer and guitarist in Jamoroquai. Harris is also a songwriter and producer. Cody (band)

Cody stylized as CODY is a Danish musical band founded by the Danish roots musician and songwriter Kasper Kaae in 2009. The band with Kaae as lead singer performs alternative country, pop and Nordic folk music and has released three albums and two EPs to date.

Front man and songwriter Kaspar Kaae began writing songs of his own in 2006 and several musicians and friends later joined playing the Danish Roskilde Festival three times, G! Festival, Spot Festival, By:Larm, Fusion Feestival, Montreux Jazz Festival. Their music has been used in soundtrack of German film 12 Meter Ohne Kopf and Danish films En Familie, Kapringen and Me & You Forever.

Mono Town

Mono Town is an Icelandic musical band with alternative pop and ambient influences from Reykjavik formed in 2012. Their debut album of 11 tracks in English language was In The Eye Of The Storm. It was recorded in Iceland, mixed by the Grammy Award winning mixer, Michael Brauer and has been a big success in Iceland upon release on 27 January 2014 by Key Music Management. A limited vinyl edition was also released. The initial single release "Peacemaker" has also charted in Iceland. In 2013, Deezer had announced that it was sponsoring the Icelandic band for an international launch. Mono Town performed at the inaugural All Tomorrow's Parties in Iceland and gained further international attention through being featured on the influentialm avant-garde American radio station KEXP.

Wrabel

Stephen Wrabel or just Wrabel is an American singer, songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles and signed to Island Records. Wrabel was invited by Afrojack to perform a song live during Afrojacks show. The track, featured Wrabel's vocals and piano playing titled "Ten Feet Tall" resulted in an international hit. The song was also premiered in the United States with the Bud Light commercial that aired during the 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII and was viewed by around 100 million viewers. This is Wrabel's first big charting hit. He will release his debut album on Island Records in 2014.

Maiday

Maiday is an English singer-songwriter from Worcestershire, now living in Bow, East London. Currently she is preparing for her debut album release.

Maiday has written for a number of other artists including Wretch 32, Leona Lewis, Girls Aloud and Josh Kumra. She co-wrote and produced "Don't Go" for Wretch 32 and her vocals have been featured on a number of international hits including "Fade" by Jakwob and on "Skydive" by Chuckie. She also recorded "One Way" credited to Naughty Boy featuring Mic Righteous & Maiday.

The 17-track album contains four collaborations with various artists signed to the label, including two with Kalif Hardcore, and one each with Soso Maness and Kamikaze.

The album went to number 7 in the SNEP French Albums Chart on the first week of its release.
