Mir Hasan (poet) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Mir Hasan (poet), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and notablity criteria for poets, and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  A.A Prinon  Leave a dialogue 12:27, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please ignore the above misguided message. The article is safely back in the mainspace were it belongs. Thank you for creating a well-sourced article on a clearly, truly notable poet. Please keep up the good work and ignore the occasional problem or contrary edit, that's a disadvantage of the open structure of Wikipedia. Fram (talk) 12:59, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you --$ufyan (talk) 10:10, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I had already listed three books written about Mir Hasan (two exclusively about him) by prominent literary critics in the article. I also agree with Fram here that there is no question of notability. I believe the lack of inline citations (there was only one when you made the move) is the problem here. I have added some more, and will keep working on it :) --$ufyan (talk) 10:10, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Role of France in the Rwandan genocide into France–Rwanda relations. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 10:36, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, forgot all about that. Thanks for adding the attribution :) --$ufyan (talk) 10:51, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red[edit]

Hi there, $ufyan, and welcome to Women in Red. As a new contributor, you are progressing very well with quite a few new articles, including your first biography of a woman. We look forward to many more. If you haven't already done so, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:45, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rankings infobox[edit]

Note that you should not add ranking to the infobox, like you did here, without discussing it in the text, like I added here. The infobox is just a summary of the text, not a replacement.--Muhandes (talk) 18:39, 12 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I will correct that in the other pages I've edited too. Thanks --$ufyan (talk) 06:02, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary!
